From cask at Bishops Arms, Malmö. Pours dark brown with a small golden glare and with a small tan head. Dark roasted malt aroma. Mild fruity accent beneath a deep dark and hardroasted malt base with a distinct liqourice note. Medium tolight body. Lasting roasted acidic flavour into a solid dark malty finish.

cask/handpull at the Adelaide in Teddington. Black-red with a good white head. Aroma of roasted coffee and malt, lots of choc and coffee on the palate. Full flavoured yet somehow light bodied and dry. Very nice dry porter.

kempicus (343) - Bakewell, Derbyshire, ENGLAND - JAN 16, 2009
Tried at the smugglers in pevensey with a bowl of mushroom soup and crusty bread. Pours a deep ruby not as black as i thought it would, nose is biscuity with touches of coffee. Chocolate, toffee and liquorice flavours abound in the surprisingly thinnish body.

sm89walt (2070) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - JAN 11, 2009
Cask - Bramley’s Bar, Canterbury. Black with a medium, beige head. Smokey/roasted aromas and plain malts. More roasted malts and a smoky aftertaste with a dry, bitter roasted malt finish. Soft mouthfeel, quite light for a porter and lacking any real kick.
