Cask by handpump at Crystal Palace, Glasgow - clear dark amber, thin off-white head, no lacing, mild fruity aroma, fruity and mild malty aroma, bit watery, soft carbonation, fruity aftertaste

ManVsBeer (9200) - Hebden Bridge, West Yorkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 13, 2012
Golden ale with a mild fruit spiced aroma, but apt for a seasonal winter beer. It has a spicy undercurrent for its flavour and can be classed as a winter warmer.

berkshirejohn (6279) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - DEC 12, 2012
Cask at the John Russell Fox (JDW), Andover. Reddish amber with a loose cream head that laces the glass nicely; fruity aroma; thin in the mouth with some sour purple fruits and caramel malts; then a thin and dry finish that is less than satisfying. I pity Rudolph, there are far better rewards out there for the taking!

Rune (11718) - Tromsø, NORWAY - DEC 6, 2012
Half-pint, cask at JDWs Angel. Clear amber body, layer at the top. Resin-like aroma. Quite inviting resin and leafy hops in the flavour profile supported by wood and caramel malts. Dry bitter ending. Decent seasonal bitter (London, 25.11.2012).

Deep amber color. Light sweet nose - some caramel and dark fruits. The taste is lightly sweet with a dry, bitter finish. The body’s a bit thin but entirely drinkable. Overall, an acceptable seasonal from the lads at Shepherd Neame.

meerbier (1474) - Pijnacker, NETHERLANDS - JAN 2, 2011
[email protected] Flavourful beer. Bitter, light floral, hint of toffee. Light brown, off-white head, good lace. Bit thinnish though. But for just 3.7% ABV a good beer.

Cask @ The State Bar. Mild nutty malt aroma. Medium brown colour. Harsh sour grassy flavour. Not nice.

Spoons. Clear amber beer, ghost of a white head. Light palate. Zero carbonation. Dry malt. Thin hops. A little dust. Neutral finish. Dull bordering on offensive. Sheps can make good beer but beers like this just torpedo any attempt to take them seriously!

Draught at The Flying Horse, Gatwick - 16/12/10. Chocolate in the nose and taste. Perhaps some vanilla in the palate.
