12oz bottle, typical English bitter Ale. Light brown pour, caramel aroma; medium bitterness, light sweetness and sourness; medium body, definitely balanced. Only 4.5abv, good brew to drink a few of.
Bottle. Pours clear light amber with minimal head and OK lacing on the glass. Aroma is toasty and roasty malts with a hint of dried fruit. Flavour is soft caramel, roast, a bit of dark fruit and a lingering bitterness. There is really no yeast presence - lacks esters. Low carbonation, thin body and good mouthfeel. OK-ish, but the high price makes it very unappealing. Pyobon (1556) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - MAR 3, 2018

Strong malty flavour. Almost smokey at times. Sometimes caramel. Sometimes even a subtle chocolate tone in there. It's not what I was expecting but was at the same time. Clearly I'm confused by this. I thought it would be horrible. But it's not so bad. I could drink a pint of this in some ye olde English pub.

I have drunk so many of these in my time, but this is the first rate. A classic English bitter that tasted sweeter than I remember, but that may be due to the beers that I had before drinking this. Malt, bittering hops and a good mouthfeel resulted in a perfectly pleasant pint, but nothing special. That sweetness was odd, but I haven't had this for quite a long time. luka237 (112) - POLAND - FEB 10, 2018

UPDATED: FEB 7, 2018 500 ml bottle. Clear light brown color with average white head. Smells toffee and some caramel. Taste are dry bitter with caramel and toffee sweetness with soft water. Easy drinkable. Aftertaste staid average time. Light bitter becoming to toffee sweetness and some strange spices with dry finish. Good beer.
