COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pasteurised keg.
Steinbock Lager is brewed by Shepherd Neame to an original Swiss recipe. Produced using the original Swiss yeast and finest Challenger hops, Steinbock is among the best-selling easy-drinking session lagers available in the south-east. A light, crisp, refreshing lager with an underlying sweetness, a slight floral tang and a clean finish.

I suppose this is OK if you’re driving and want a refreshing summer lager, but is ridiculously weak and tastes it. Wouldn’t overlook a Sheps proper ale (Masterbrew, Late Red et al) for this continental muck!

Keg at The Bull Inn, Faversham. Mild mannered lager with some cereal notes but little other character.

Draught, at The Old Ivy, London.
Cold Filtered. Sparkly golden yellow colour with a greenish hue and well serviced head. Strong aroma lifting off the fizz, corn, rice or some other grain. An expensive rating this one.
