DruncanVeasey (8260) - Nr NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2013
500ml bottle from Fosse Sainsbury’s. Headless, virtually piss-still yellow. Slightly horsey, clay, calamine-like aroma with a splash of cider vinegar. Sweetish, slightly drying and tannic with pear-like, calamine, clay and clove notes. Easy to drink. but punishing on the stomach and central nervous system.

Light clear yellow with a think quick disappearing fizzy white head. Smells of apples with vinegar and wood. Sort of rusty and home made. Medium oily body with soft carbonation. Tastes super acidic and dry. Woody and yet sweet. It feels a bit all over the place to me. Chemical.

Benjii (3049) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - SEP 30, 2012
In bottle from Margiotta’s. Pours a dark golden colour with a sweet apple aroma. An apple flavour and a very bitter and dry tannic character. Alcohol is fairly present. OK.

Martinus (4692) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - SEP 4, 2012
Clear pale golden colour, fast disappearing white head. Aroma of apples, apple cores and earth. Quite sweet flavour, light bitter apple peel, fruity apples, light wood and pear notes. Light carbonation, finish apple, apple peel and earth notes. Quite fresh, considering the ABV.

500 ml bottle served cool. Golden yellow and sparkly in the glass. Proper apple aroma and flavour. Smooth almost creamy mouth feel, and considering the ABV, the alcohol is more of a nudge than a kick. Well balanced and quaffable.

Very appley nose that shows off the single varietal nature of this cider - earthy notes with a balance of sweetness and acidity. Pours pale copper. Taste follows the nose with earthiness and some lemony sweetness. Finishes dry and moreish. Very quaffable.
