Bottled. Surprisingly dark golden, close to ambery orange, colour, which has a small white head. Aroma is sweet apples, some wood, mild sourness as well as quite sugary and yeasty notes. Flavour is sugary, wooden, mild sour wooden notes as well as some sweet ripe apples to it. Mild almost syrupy notes to it as well. Balanced and quite delicious. This one I was sipping my share of for quite a while.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Vintage 2009. Pours a clear golden with no head. Sweet and astringent apple accents with only a whiff of wood. Medium body, distinctly tart apples growing towards a heavy astringency. The oak is very subtle. 310312 Leighton (21458) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 26, 2016
Bottle at home in London - picked up at M&S. Vintage 2012. Pours clear gold with a faint bubbly topping. Pleasant aroma, with lightly aged and musty apples, nips of honey, apple skin. Medium sweet flavour with a lightly cutting musty dryness, hints of caramel, earth, leather. Medium bodied with faint carbonation. Somewhat drying on the finish, with further ripening apples, a little bitter skin, old hay. Fun one. Rasmus40 (21140) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAR 30, 2012
Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is tart apples. Flavor is medium sweet. Very dry finish. Yummy. 300312 harrisoni (18800) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - JAN 5, 2011
This was labelled as Sheppys Vintage Reserve 2009 Oak Matured 7.4% ABV. Pure gold clear colour with a collar of white bubbles. Lovely scrumpy cider aroma. Fullness in mouth and good dryness and tannin on the finish. Tasty strong cider where the alcohol doesn’t show up too much. Oak isn’t too prevalent. But this is a decent supermarket cider with plenty of character and flavour and a good gum hitting bite on the finish. I liked it. saxo (18738) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAR 30, 2012
Bottle @ Fonefan tasting. Medium head with medium duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are apples, wood, sulphur and has a nice dry finish.
