Iznogud (4499) - CROATIA - OCT 25, 2017
Bottle, 330 ml, trade with TimE. Thanks for this one! Shared with JFK10000 and Max. Left it in cellar for a year. Pours dark orange, medium off white head. Dark fruit, dried fruit, nutty, easy drinkable for ABV, sweet, medium to full bodied. Seems it lost a bit of body and thickness, but gained drinkability.

Slightly hazy amber with a thin head. Has a light nose, thinnish, phenols and esters...fermentation not on point. Florals, touch of alcohol late. Did side by side with the original and it doesnt compare.

Bottle courtesy of Timo. Tiny hazy caramel brown pour with a small offwhite head. Caramel toffee malts & herbal piney hops nose. Minerals & alcohol. Sweet, bitter, malty & herbal taste. Round, astringent & boozy mouth. Solid, but not spectacular.

330ml bottle - thanks Raol at Biiru

Sweet mashy malty aroma. Heavy malty palate, sweet and sticky. Taste packed full of malts, but some soapinss from hops, fair bit of alcohol here, not hiding it well at all. Needs a few years to become a proper BW, but does have potential.

willisread (3703) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - FEB 15, 2016
Bottle from Tanakaya. Pours a clear amber with some ruby. No head. Honey, wood, alcohol, molasses, cinnamon, vanilla all present on the nose. Not overly sweet but sweet, harsh at first but after an hour or 2 it mellows out. Lots of roasted molasses, piney bitterness and some honey present on the palate. Finish is bitter as it warms and quite boozy. Still, a nice smooth mouthfeel.

3.7
biirusaikou (2705) - - FEB 9, 2016
Tangerine, tamarind, plum, nutty malt, phenol, dark toffee, very syrupy texture, feels like wild honey, whiskey booze and spice, dandelion, underberg, long warming finish. Much much better than Adamu, tasty stuff but not quite outstanding, might age well though.
