Had this on the Shiga Kogen tap list night on Halloween in Ushi-Tora. Definitely the saison. Almost clear, slight haze, pale yellow amber beer with a medium white foam head which quickly dissipates to nothing. Nose and flavours are caramel, toffee, meringue, lemon estery fruit, light Brett, cereal grain husk. Light saison with a lemon citrous finish. Only slight funk or farmyard, very clean lines, but nice. jonno (2917) - JAPAN - OCT 21, 2012
Quite distinct, if not entirely saisonesque. Rather hoppy, with pronounced lemon and grass, good full body and solid carbonation. SOme phenols and a little spiciness. Has a sour apple like tartness going on and is really rather good. maekchu (4058) - Hirakata, JAPAN - SEP 23, 2012
Draught at World Craft Beer Tasting in Osaka. Lots of yeast and big citrus in the nose. Sort of saison-like. Orange-brown, Thin medium. Tasty stuff, indeed. But I don’t get much saison character. KyotoLefty (10694) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 18, 2012
UPDATED: OCT 8, 2012 Draught at the Yokohama GJBF 2012. Funky nose, very funky and spicy, grassy hop, honey. Rather sweet, not as well hopped as Indian Summer. Seems like the base beer for ISS but with their own hops instead of the usual. Ok, but not as good.
