On tap at Beer Pub Ichi-Ya in Kyoto. Aroma is light and not much to it, and it’s pretty clear on the pour. Really nice beer, though, and a bit west coast IPA style with some pine and resin. Easy drinking and happy with it. Iznogud (3800) - CROATIA - AUG 14, 2016
Bottle, at Bungalow, Kyoto. Pours orange, white head. Light to medium hoppy, citrus, peach, fruity, malty. Moderate bitterness. Medium bodied. Goo IPA. Oakes (17668) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUN 29, 2016
Cloudy, thin head. Aroma is floral, fruity hop. Sweet front, then bitter, still quite fruity. Lingering pithy bitter finish. Baramba (1038) - ITALY - JUN 14, 2016
On tap @ Popeye. Golden orange with white head. Peach aroma, hoppy grassy bitterness biirusaikou (2705) - - MAR 27, 2016
Both tap and bottle. Nectarine, guava, lime. Much more green on the palate, quite bitter and piney, some mandarin juice and grapefruit peel, really doesn’t match the nose though, harsh bitter finish. Really not too sure what the hype is all about, this is far far less impressive than a Sono Ju for example.

Tap at Takumiya. Finally got to try this after so many years. Juicy nose of stone fruit, peaches, nectarine, and orange. A bit of tropical fruit there too. Rich, bready malt. Deep fruity flavors, rich yet crisp and light. Nicely done, juicy, peachy flavors without strong bitterness or sharp citrus. willisread (3342) - Nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAR 3, 2016
Bottle from Tanakaya. Pale-ish gold with a finger of white foam. Lots of pine resin and grapefruit on the nose with some skunky weed notes as it warms. More weed on the palate with some herbal and grassiness that stands out. Aggressively bitter on the palate. Feels a little boozy for the 5.5 abv. Not bad, but just not that impressive compared to some of their other beers. Bitter, dry finish that lingers. jinroh (1595) - ESTONIA - MAR 2, 2016
Pours orange with a light haze, small head that does not really persist and reduces into a thin film in seconds. Aroma is a bit skunky, dominated by grassy-herbal hops, not too much, rather soft feel to it. Taste is quite aggressively bitter though, slightly skunky herbal hop flavours display some strong bitter bite, body of the beer has a bit of fruitiness, peach and melon providing some softness, bit hops dominate and continue their dry lingering into the long aftertaste. Nice and drinkable session beer, kicks much higher than it’s 5,5% would let us believe. Could drink this in volumes. mrjez (620) - Osaka, JAPAN - JUN 9, 2015
On tap at Eni-Bru/2nd Vine.
L: pours a nice hazy gold, I can’t see through it, with a small fluffy head.
S: a lovely fruit aroma, strong grapefruit and passionfruit, very tropical, distinct hops coming through also, very pleasant.
T: bam! Those fruits come through strong, battling each other for supremacy. A deep lasting pithy taste.
F: a bit sour on the palate, I would’ve liked more hop in the taste, it is there when I belch though (!). Quite a lingering bitterness after the fact.
O: very drinkable, but I would’ve liked it to have been more balanced throughout, the fruits needed to be toned down a bit. jbeatty (1248) - New York, USA - APR 15, 2015
Bottle, 04/15/2015. Hazy copper pour, almost no head, thin hazy wisps on the surface only. Aroma of mellow citrus, kiwi, freshly cut grass, caramel malts, everything a bit indistinct. Taste is again soft citrus overtones with more dominant grassy, peppery hops, caramel for body, moderately bitter pine finish. Light medium body. On the weak side, doesn’t distinguish itself.
