Flight, brewpub. Pours a thin tan colour, fast fading head. Malty aroma, some roast. Don't really get coconut from this. Initial taste is a nice dry roasted malt but it fades quite quickly. Needs more oomph. The_Osprey (9999) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 22, 2018
Keg at Shilling Brewpub in Glasgow as Shilling Black Star Teleporter, 4.2%. Busy place took ages to get served on a Monday! Pours a dark brown, opaque, foamy dense brown head leaves thick lacing. Aroma is earthy, dark chocolate, ashy, cigarette butt, coffee grounds. Good. Body is light and rounded with tingly carbonation. Taste is lactic but ashy, earthy and damp dark wood. Flavours are a little washed out by carbonation and it's served cold, so there's a bit of an unwanted soda vibe. Didn't get coconut. Clearly a good beer underneath the fizz chill. I'm sure this would be great on cask. (7-4-7-3-15=3.6) AshtonMcCobb (7132) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 27, 2017
On keg at Shilling.
Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head.
Nose - roast and chocolate. Toffee too. Coconut if you send out a search party.
Taste - very light chocolateand again coconut if some imagination is used.
Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture and a long dry finish.
Overall - didn’t get big coconut but a nice porter. allmyvinyl (11398) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 14, 2017

Keg at Shilling Brewing Company. Dark brown body with a thin beige head that slowly fades. Very faint lacing. Aroma of coffee, Twiglets and dark chocolate. Flavour of charred wood and ashy malt. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. Pretty good considering the low ABV.

Tap @ Shilling Brewpub. Black with a big foamy beige head. Mild coconut aroma. Coconut coffee flavour. Light well balanced and nice. Scopey (16777) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 13, 2016
Keg at Shilling. It pours black with a decent off-white head. The aroma is toasted malt, umami, some sweet toasted coconut, earth, coffee grounds and cacao nibs. The taste is dry, bitter, rich roasted malt, earthy, coffee grounds, slightly charred, soft coconut sweetness and cacao with a drying, roasted finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Coconut is well judged. Nice. gowdy (1116) - Erskine, SCOTLAND - OCT 9, 2016
