golden color. Hoppy nose with some candy sugar. Estery,, very much looking at Belgium, oranges and bread. Full bodied. Moderately sweet. Low hop. This is very focused on the yeast, which makes sense since it was a sake yeast. Nice and interesting.
Aroma: apple, yeast
Flavor: sweet apple, yeast, iron followed by a drier, less-sweet apple on the mid-palate, finishes with a minerally (iron) and semi-dry apple flavor.

Bottle from Tanakaya in Tokyo. Pours a gusher, hazy amber, but quickly calms down to a smooth surface, lots of active bubbles inside. Aroma begins semi-sweet, light oranges, pears, opening into big rice notes, soft cedar-like spiciness. Taste is thick, spritzy caramel orange, pungent rice finish, sake-like, a little boozy. Draught at Craft Heads. Cloudy golden colour with small white head. Aroma lots of sweetness, lots of grain, bit boozy, rice maybe. Lively in mouth, very nice texture. Taste is caramel malt, boozy, sweet. Lovely. Very lovely. KyotoLefty (10264) - Kyoto, JAPAN - OCT 3, 2011
Draught at Wachi. Orange-brown, cloudy, with a huge, airy head. Aroma of honey, orange, rice, weizen-like spice, peach. Sweet and fruity, esters, with flavor of spice, rice and peach, and alcohol. Thick and rich. Interesting, but too sweet.
