Pours clear ruby red-brown with a creamy, 2-finger tan head. Aroma of coffee with a note of nutty malt. Body is medium and lightly oily. Long finish with a touch of astringency to it. Flavor of coffee with a nutty note.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours dark coppery brown with a slight beige head. Aroma of nice coffee. Near med body. Flavor is nice coffee, but it's all thinnish - both body and flavor. Needs more malt.

rumproasts (6052) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - NOV 3, 2017
bottle. Brown with one finger head. Sweet brown ale with caramel and coffee. The sweetness is a bit too much, and it's super thin. Not terrible, but I'd pass on this one in the future.

beer_rookie (735) - Arkansas, USA - SEP 15, 2017
Pours a clear bronze color. About one finger beige head. Short lived head. No lacing.

Aroma is weak coffee. A little smoky and woody.

Taste is thin, very thin. Good roasted malt, light coffee. That's about it.

Mouthfeel is light to medium body. Very watery. Very drinkable.

Overall, it's decent. It's not at all what I hoped for. Too watery, hardly a porter. Needs more body. I'd drink it again, but I wouldn't recommend it.

kevinator (2906) - The Colony, Texas, USA - JUL 25, 2017
One of their better beers. Aromas and flavors of coffee and other roasted notes. Decent color with a medium palate.

About what I expected. Was hoping it would be a little thicker, or more like a porter/stout. I’d compare this to a medium or slightly darker brown ale. Denisty on the thin side. Flavors of caramel malt, coffee, light cinnamon. Could use a little more bitterness, but an OK seasonal.

Has a good taste of coffee to it, but not so as to overpower the beer. Malty and not bitter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Soupordean (97) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 2, 2017
Poured from a bottle. Clear medium brown color, small off white head. Dust and malt aroma. Medium body with a sweet creamy malt flavor with slight gut pepper currents and a decent finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fatehunter (2654) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - JUN 14, 2017
Pours a finger and half of head on a dark brown body. Aroma is roasted malt, mild coffee and wood. Taste has a nice coffee flavor throughout, malty. Nice. Texture is softer. Quite enjoyable.

I’m not sure if mine was too old, or too cold. Not much head, not much aroma, not much flavor, thin. Meh.
