Shiner’s premium beer is a decent thirst quencher. Light clear, golden appearance. Neutral flavor of malt, some corn and/or rice, mildly hopped. It is not a light beer by definition but it is a sessionable brew if one is so inclined. As a summer style beer it does the job. I would definitely pick this up over any BMC product if I had the choice.

Can’t say much... It is very, very reminiscent of Budweiser. From the smell, appearance, all the way down to the taste. Not bad, not great, but it’ll do nicely.

Medium gold with a small white head that dissipates quickly. Well-balanced and refreshing. Nothing offensive, rather good actually.

Bottle. Pours a clear pale straw yellow body with just a minimal fizzy white head. The nose is pretty light, just a bit of husky grain and sweetness. The flavor is light and rather bland with a short finish. Light bodied and fizzy with a watery texture. Pretty boring stuff. Hard to believe that this is all malt.

bottled - drinkable but definitely nothing special. Very pale golden color. Not much aroma. Malt character. ok.

12 oz. bottle, a gift from my sis. This is a crystal clear blonde with good carbonation and a small white head The aroma is crackery with hints at corn on the cob, earthy hops and is free of flaws. The body is pretty light, expectedly so. This is really a decent lager. No weird off flavors, just straightforward malt and conservative hoppiness. It’s slightly sweet, but not too bad. Finish is crisp. I was pleasantly surprised by this one. It’s not too shabby at all. I might even prefer this over Yeungling as far as mass produced lagers go.

This is better than your typical American lager. Not a huge a fan of this though. I would drink this before any other American lager.

Old rating. Came in a mix pack. Light, crisp boring pale lager. Utterly forgettable, but easy to drink.

Solid premium lager. Aroma of toasted malt and yeast. Flavor was similar with a (for this style) complex malt, hint of bread crust and yeast followed by a touch of hops. The finish I wasn’t excited about. Poured a straw color with a short lasting head.

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass. Aroma- Nice blend of barley, wheat and some malt. It’s Shiner so I bet there is some corn tossed in also. nice aroma Appearance- Pours a straw color very reminiscent of BMC brands. Has a nice thick white head that shrinks quickly. Taste- A simple barley and malt flavor, this is by no means a complaint. The flavor is solid. Palate- A light to medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Has a creamy texture and with a nice dry finish. Overall- A well done American Pale Lager, in fact one of the best in the style.
