This small brewery is growing by leaps and bounds, it has been around many many years and has been discovered over the last 20 years and has taken off This is their flagship beer and is a great lager, I recommend it for the traditionalist

Notes: A great beer to have with a burger and fries. Goes down smooth and stands high above other mainstream lagers.
A: Yellow & Gold with a decent firm head.
S: Smells of cereal and other grain.
T: A hint of malt, cereal, and grian that is not to overpowered and not to subtle; Has a nice balance of sweetness and has a very low bitterness rate.
D: Excellent drinkability. Very smooth. tntrubee (1) - - JUN 12, 2011 does not count
Just call it Shiner Premium. This is the beer that I have enjoyed for 40 years. drinkitup (13) - Spring, Texas, USA - JAN 31, 2003

This beer is very smooth, yet a nice alcohol content. It’s also very refreshing during the summer.

My absolute favorite summertime beer. Light enough to keep in the golf cart cooler!

Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- Nice blend of barley, wheat and some malt. It’s Shiner so I bet there is some corn tossed in also. nice aroma
Appearance- Pours a straw color very reminiscent of BMC brands. Has a nice thick white head that shrinks quickly.
Taste- A simple barley and malt flavor, this is by no means a complaint. The flavor is solid.
Palate- A light to medium bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Has a creamy texture and with a nice dry finish.
Overall- A well done American Pale Lager, in fact one of the best in the style.

This is a good sturdy American lager. I drank it back when it was cheap but now they command a premium price for it. Still a pretty good beer brewed to be light and drinkable for the hot Texas climate. triguy84 (235) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - FEB 5, 2011
Spot on lager color & head. Spot on for lager aroma. It would be nice if the malt flavor was somewhat more pronounced, but the malt & hop flavors are nicely done. Spot on mouthfeel. This is a nice lager but it doesn’t really jump out at you as being different from the big boys.
