A clear deep Amber with a foamy, off-white head. Very mild sweet scent. Feels like a macro lager & tastes slightly better than one. Not what I had hopes for.

Ended an evening in Arlington with two of these last week. A distinct taste, will buy again in Texas, doubt that I would purchase if available at home.

Nothing spectacular. This bock is nothing compared the the German BIGbrothers. Not very fulbodied.

From Keg. Dark brown, see through, with rapidly dispersing white head. Has an aroma of sacharin sweetness and a complete lack of maltiness in the nose. Cant even smell caramel at all. Taste is similar to budweiser with a flavored darkness that reminds me of kool-aid. Low on alcohol, and flavor is just bad.

Pours dark brown with a big creamy light tan head. Aroma of malt, toffee, and slight cognac. Tastes malty, slightly sour, with a light mouthfeel. Not very complex, and light on the alcohol for a bock.

what is wrong with these bars that give you an ice covered glass, i spent the first beer having water drip on me. i want a beer not a glass that will piss on me. but about the beer. nice pour darkish brown with an average head that faded. not an unappealing aroma, but overall bland. hoppy taste that is a little watery, better than the majority of macros. a safe alternative at most texas bars.

This isnt really a bock. More like an American Dark Lager if you ask me. Cola colored, quick thin head. Lighter aroma and flavor. What was there was some nuts and some artificial caramel. Pretty thin.

UPDATED: NOV 20, 2016 Bottle/tap. Light caramel malt and straw aroma. Brown color with small head. Light caramel malt and lightly bitter straw flavor. Watery palate. (bottled version better than draft). Shiner and Abita were two of the first microbreweries to challenge (quite successfully) the BMC stronghold in the south. Now it could be that I have a more refined palate at this time, but then again, I still like other beers I drank back then (Pilsner Urquell and Franziskaner) just as much and Shiner doesnt taste nearly as good as it did in the early 90s (at least to me). Still a nice ballpark beer.

Medium sized tan head, short lived with a teeny bit of lace. Light brown/red hued brew. Malty grainy nose. Med/light body. Medium sweet malty brew, lightly grainy, bready. Finish is medium sweet, thin. Drnkable in a pinch.
