Draught in TX (Dallas, not Shiner ( )APPEARANCE-
dark amber, fairly flat pour. But I blame this hotel, not the beer.
light, slightly malty scent. Complete lack of hops.
NOTES- smooth, good drinking beer. The poor rating on this is disappointing. This isn’t the best Vienna lagder out there, but it’s a solid beer, and it tastes great in the TX heat. Long live Shiner! tmoreau (4369) - Lombard, Illinois, USA - DEC 6, 2016
On tap at the Silverado Grill in Elmhurst, IL. and dispensed to a chilled shaker, showing a hazed, brownish amber color, with a presentable layer of off white/light tan head foam, and dots & dashes of lacing. The nose was malty, lightly toasted, with a bit of nuttiness, and light caramel. Light to medium bodied, with lively carbonation, the taste was similar, added a hint of toffee with no sweetness, and low, supportive bitterness. Sessionably flavorful, and paired well with the steak entrée. islay (2755) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 20, 2016
4 oz. pour, on tap at The Ginger Man in Austin, Texas. Consumed on 11-6-16. Clear, dark tan. Insubstantial appearance. Small amount of beige head. Weak and nondescript aroma. Lightly spicy, bland, beery flavor. Orange. Easy to drink. Light body. Insubstantial palate effects. Barely above a macro pale lager. Tessic (1152) - Brantford, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 16, 2016
This bock poured a deep amber colour with a bright white, foaming head. Not much lacing. Scents include honey, cereal and vanilla. First swig was quite thin with flavours of malt, syrup and cereal. Finish is malty with light bitterness lingering on the palate.

7 degrees C. Pours dark amber with beige head, with rather low retention. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and a whif of vanilla. Taste mirrors aroma - more of the roasted malt, bread and very subdued hops, which becomes a little more apparent in the aftertaste. Somewhat watery texture and not like a German bock, but quite pleasant.
UPDATED: SEP 22, 2016 Bottle - Pours a medium amber with fizzy, thin, white head. Aroma of caramel malt, but not much else. Flavors of light cracker, caramel malts, mildly hopped, with a hint of fruit. Thin. BrewBroFla (20) - - SEP 18, 2016
Over all Shiner Bock is a nice clean mass produced beer with no unique characteristics. Good for drinking on a hot Texas day.
