Its taste is caramel with a mild hops. Goes down smooth without a heavy feeling. PERFECT for a long day and time to relax. Ive had it tap and bottled. Tap is slightly better, but bottled is good. Im drinking one right now as we speak.

4 oz. pour, on tap at The Ginger Man in Austin, Texas. Consumed on 11-6-16. Clear, dark tan. Insubstantial appearance. Small amount of beige head. Weak and nondescript aroma. Lightly spicy, bland, beery flavor. Orange. Easy to drink. Light body. Insubstantial palate effects. Barely above a macro pale lager.

This bock poured a deep amber colour with a bright white, foaming head. Not much lacing. Scents include honey, cereal and vanilla. First swig was quite thin with flavours of malt, syrup and cereal. Finish is malty with light bitterness lingering on the palate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[email protected] Form, New Orleans in straght [email protected] 7 degrees C. Pours dark amber with beige head, with rather low retention. Aroma of roasted malt, caramel and a whif of vanilla. Taste mirrors aroma - more of the roasted malt, bread and very subdued hops, which becomes a little more apparent in the aftertaste. Somewhat watery texture and not like a German bock, but quite pleasant.

Over all Shiner Bock is a nice clean mass produced beer with no unique characteristics. Good for drinking on a hot Texas day.

Pint, from draft. - This is most definately not a bock. Its way too light and not malty enough. Its a good malty plain lager though! Breadcrust and slight toffee dominates this malt-forward lager. Its okay.

Bottle. Rosy amber with a fast fading beige head. Aroma of prunes, bread crusts, a faint vinegar note - smells really quite like a kvass. Its sweet and fairly plainly malty with some stewed fruit, but theres a little helpful bitterness at the end. Just about OK.
