12oz bottle into a pint glass.
Pours a clear medium gold with a fizzy one finger white head that is quick to fade into some wispy lacing on top and on the sides of the glass.
Aroma is very Saison-like with hints of coriander and orange peel with a little underlying caramel. The yeasty citrus is quite nice and better than I was expecting.
The flavor, however, is a bit of a let-down. Citrus and coriander up front but it is very dialed back and weak. A tiny bit of acidity before the abundant carbonation washes away nearly all hints of flavor. Mouthfeel is extremely dry which is nice but it nearly goes too far and becomes chalky. Absolutely no lingering finish which is really a shame.
Overall, there is a lot of potential with this beer but it just falls short. I feel like Spoetzl was trying to play it safe and appeal to the masses but it is a little too safe. While this is not something I would pick up on a regular basis, it could be a good introduction to the style.

Bottle @ home picked up at Wilburs Foco. Pours a fairly clear, golden orange appearance with an off white head. Slight skunk/cat pee, a bit spicy yeasty, mild citrusy, dirty aroma that is really not pleasant. A bit herbal, quite spicy yeasty, tangerine/orange fruity, herbal, fairly bitter flavor. This is really not good, but would be an excellent beer for Ernest to rate. cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - FEB 19, 2013
12 oz. bottle - Pours a clear golden color with a one finger thick white head. light lacing. Aroma is esters, light spice with a hint of soap. Flavor is fruity esters with a dose of light herbal hops. Light to medium body. A decent drinking beer. Not your typical Saison though. crossovert (12934) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 18, 2013
Tastes more like a witbier than a saison which is why most people complain about it. Ratman197 (14838) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - FEB 18, 2013
Bottle poured a hazy gold with a lasting creamy white head. Aromas of straw, spice, light yeast and light earthiness. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of straw, spice and light earthiness with a smooth dry lingering spiced straw finish.

Draft. Some brett, some phenols, some funk going on on the nose. Pour is hazy gold with a light head. Flavor is all right, but has an odd apple-cider overtone to it. It got better with food (Schnitzel Holstein) -- but most saisons do that anyway. Finished clean enough. All right, I suppose. youdictategood (467) - Florida, USA - FEB 17, 2013
Single bottle. Clear golden pour with a small white head. Aroma of bananas, moss, some spice. Tastes like bread dough and some kitchen spice with banana at the end. Really thin, watery mouthfeel. Decent enough for the style but not something I’d get again. alexanderj (3605) - Branson, Missouri, USA - FEB 16, 2013
Bottle; poured a dark gold color with a smaller light white head. Aroma of yeast, bread, brett, honey and farmhouse. Flavor was a touch watery but ok. Lacking some complexity of the better examples. Palate was a bit harsh. Arayaga2 (2197) - portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 15, 2013
Gold with thin white head, and a pear ester and sulfur aroma. Taste is the same, and very mildly malty and sweet. Not bad, but nothing to it, really. $2/12oz mokanmikey (7) - Kansas, USA - FEB 15, 2013 does not count
Got this beer hoping it would be similar to Boulevard Tank 7, nice color and carbonation slight sour smell but lacking body. Light and under performing. Hoped for more.
