Pours a crystal clear gold color in the glass. Very bright and appealing. Aroma of some herbs spice and cream. Tasty malt and an odd slight latex flavor in the mix followed by some more spice notes. Overall, its not that bad... Not that great for a Saison but good for a lawnmower type brew. I’ll probably purchase again. jerseyjohn71 (309) - Corsicana, Texas, USA - JAN 18, 2013
i was glad to see and try a new beer,, but this tasted just like [ RED BIRD ] some may like it ,, some may not ,,, Steverus0 (263) - Shreveport, Louisiana, USA - JAN 18, 2013
While this is a spicy and tasty farmhouse style, it lacks some of the robust character I would expect of the style. While this spring seasonal isn't quite robust enough to stand up to the still cold spring days by the fire, the warm hints of an oncoming summer that tease from time to time match we'll with this spicy brew.

Tan and hazy. Head was less than half a finger and lacing was ok at best.
Aroma is pretty good. Bubble gum, yeast, coriander, spices.
Flavor is also pretty good. Spices, yeast, and a notable hops presence are forward, accented with coriander, bready malts, and a bit of funk.
Body is less carbonated than what I’d usually expect in a saison, but it’s not much of a detractor. It’s pretty easy drinking, and actually quite tasty.
I’m quite happy with this one from Shiner. I didn’t think they’d do a saison that well, but it’s not bad. It’s not world class, but it’s drinkable. nuplastikk (6275) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 13, 2013
12oz bottle. FIltered orange-tan body, active big carbonation bubbles rising. Thin, soda like head. Definitely in the spiced US variety, doesn’t bare much resemblance to a good Belgian example in it’s mouthfeel. Cleanish in it’s filtration, but kind of a flowery mess with the spices sort of limiting and hop flavors. A touch grainy in the finish. Drinkable, but not that impressive of an offering.

I try not to be dismissive of a beer because of the label. I really do. I don’t want to be one of those people who go "Oh, Shiner, I bet this is gonna suck.". That being said, this tastes exactly like you’d think a saison from Shiner would taste like. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Bottle. Pours a crystal clear copper color with a moderate frothy white head. Nose is a little sour with citrus elements to it. Taste is light and crisp with some sourness to it as well, though it’s not overpowering. Good brew. travita (5003) - Dallas, Texas, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Bottle. The look is clear, goldenish in color, and a light white head. The smell is light spicy, yeasty, fruits, melon, and ok. The taste is the same as the taste with slight corn. jkwalking05 (4735) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Gold in color with a small white head. Aroma is of grain, light citrus and yeast. Taste is of grain, citrus, slightly dry.
