Gold pour with a white head. Nose is earth, spices, light yeast, and herbs. Easy on the palate, heavy spice, florals, coriander, and a clean finish. djd07 (14358) - Houston, Texas, USA - JAN 2, 2013
Bottle. Pours a clear yellow gold with a small frothy white head that diminishes quickly to nothing. The aroma is a strong clove yeast and pepper. Thin mouthfeel with a light spice and honey with sweet finish. Easy to drink, a good saison from Spoetzl. PorterPounder (7888) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 5, 2013
Tallahassee, FL - Publix Supermarket - Killearn - 12 oz bottle. Pours a medium golden with and initial white bubbly head that dissipates quickly. Aroma has some hints of bubble gum, a bit of grassiness and just a twinge of metal. Flavor has some sweet honey notes, a bit of saffron-like spiciness, some grassy notes, a touch of nuttiness. Mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing. jkwalking05 (4731) - Arlington, Texas, USA - JAN 12, 2013
Gold in color with a small white head. Aroma is of grain, light citrus and yeast. Taste is of grain, citrus, slightly dry. nuplastikk (6208) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 13, 2013
12oz bottle. FIltered orange-tan body, active big carbonation bubbles rising. Thin, soda like head. Definitely in the spiced US variety, doesn’t bare much resemblance to a good Belgian example in it’s mouthfeel. Cleanish in it’s filtration, but kind of a flowery mess with the spices sort of limiting and hop flavors. A touch grainy in the finish. Drinkable, but not that impressive of an offering.

While this is a spicy and tasty farmhouse style, it lacks some of the robust character I would expect of the style. While this spring seasonal isn't quite robust enough to stand up to the still cold spring days by the fire, the warm hints of an oncoming summer that tease from time to time match we'll with this spicy brew.

Bottle - Pours clear golden with a foamy white head. Nose is yeasty bubble gum, pear, light spicing, and a bit of astringency, almost like subtle rubbing alcohol. Taste has a bit of the astringency as well, though it comes off more like latex or plastic. Lightly spiced pale malt, dusty yeast, and more pear/fruit cocktail on the finish. A bit of the hopping comes through on the finish as well. Soft and smooth in the mouth. I think this one gets unfairly docked because it’s Shiner, but that said it’s pretty unremarkable. Clear, brassy gold with a short and short-lived whte head.
Scent is lemon, yeast.
Taste is spiced yeast, light fruit...
Slightly funky-dusty....very tame and light,
but a decent flavour. jhgrantjr (473) - Tennessee, USA - JAN 1, 2013
Poured from a bottle, clear and golden. Had large head that dissipated quickly. Aroma not as strong as other farmhouse ales. Taste is smooth with a balanced body. Not a bad saison.

Bottle. The look is clear, goldenish in color, and a light white head. The smell is light spicy, yeasty, fruits, melon, and ok. The taste is the same as the taste with slight corn.
