19 June 2013, bottle. Yellow, almost clear, steady bubbles. Nose is lemon zest, cobwebs, faintly tart saison yeast. Thin body and mildly fizzy. Lemon zest, slight tartness, some earthiness. Decent.

Wonderful sweet fruit aroma. Sweet and sour taste which spot on for this style. Bready aftertaste on the palate for this pale straw colored beer. Completely makes up for the other shiner abominations I have had in the past. A little on the thin side but very drinkable probably from being filtered. Crispy34 (496) - Texas, USA - JAN 7, 2013
24oz bottle. Aroma is of yeast with a little skunk. The appearance is a dark gold with little tan head. The taste farmhouse yeast with some almost saison skunk at the end. The palate is yeasty with a skunky aftertaste. Overall, i am impressed with this beer coming out of shiner. I wonder if the masses of bock fans will enjoy it. Decent beer.

Pours a crystal clear gold color in the glass. Very bright and appealing. Aroma of some herbs spice and cream. Tasty malt and an odd slight latex flavor in the mix followed by some more spice notes. Overall, its not that bad... Not that great for a Saison but good for a lawnmower type brew. I’ll probably purchase again. brucebruce81 (392) - GUAM - FEB 1, 2013
This beer was pretty good it was not your average ale beer. It was light on the hops but not on flavor

The beer pours a golden color with a big tight white head that turns into a small tight white head. Strykzone (7713) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - APR 17, 2013
The aroma is peppery and floral, a touch of banana in there... lots of mineral character. Some doughiness, some sweetness... sorta soapy.
The flavor is spicy, very spicy... fairly dry, perhaps a little overbearing on breadiness and alcohol... but by all means perfectly drinkable. The malt is crisp, the hop bitterness is pleasant. I don’t have a ton of complaints in the flavor department here.
Had this at Bella Milano in Edwardsville, not normally a place known for beer. Twelve ounce bottle. A hazed pour with a nice big white head. A decent but light aroma of fruit with a tiny hint of farmhouse funk. Light fruit with pale malts were tasted. Some buttery effects. This was decent and over priced there (almost $10). A tick is a tick. icehawk (876) - Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, USA - JUN 17, 2013
Some yeast, but generally muted aroma. Lively mouthfeel, thin body, with very little lingering aftertaste. Like many of their seasonals, very drinkable, but not exceptionally complex. brandon1989 (700) - Lewisville, Texas, USA - JAN 7, 2014
pours a golden color with a thick white head. the aroma is wet grass, hay. the taste is similar and sour. there is some hop presence and overall, very enjoyable. fidelis83 (2520) - Clinton, Iowa, USA - JAN 8, 2014
Clear gold pour with a 1 finger, creamy to soapy white head. Aroma is grass, hay, spice, cereal, fruity esters, spicy and citrus hops. Flavor is dusty cereal grain and yeasty bread up front, then some sweet hay, toast, mineral notes and floral, citrus and nice spicy hops with a bite. Light body, oily, but dry feel and medium, but sharp carbonation. Pretty good overall, as it warms it gets a little corny and boozier than it should be, but for the most part it’s a pretty drinkable, slightly brash take on a moderate strength Saison. Probably the best I have had from Shiner.
