Surprised, this was actually a pretty nice saison. Elements of honey, meadow, some floral notes, and the yeast lilt. Soft and easy to drink. One of Shiner’s better brews. douglas88 (9797) - Portland, Oregon, USA - MAY 1, 2014
12 ounce bottle. Well, it’s hot as Tejas here in PDX tonight. So I guess this suits. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A light fruity and yeasty nose. The flavor is mild bread, lemons, some zest, a bit of yeast, this is like a saison-light and is pretty decent. Zarf (23) - Maryland, USA - JUL 7, 2014
A nice example of a farmhouse style beer, with slightly sweet, slightly spicy hops and a nice aroma.

Pours clear and pale. Aroma is a bit sweet, a bit spicy. Taste is hay, some lemon, a touch of spice. alcaponejunior (445) - Texas, USA - JAN 16, 2013
Tan and hazy. Head was less than half a finger and lacing was ok at best.
Aroma is pretty good. Bubble gum, yeast, coriander, spices.
Flavor is also pretty good. Spices, yeast, and a notable hops presence are forward, accented with coriander, bready malts, and a bit of funk.
Body is less carbonated than what I’d usually expect in a saison, but it’s not much of a detractor. It’s pretty easy drinking, and actually quite tasty.
I’m quite happy with this one from Shiner. I didn’t think they’d do a saison that well, but it’s not bad. It’s not world class, but it’s drinkable.

The aroma is slightly funky with mostly a wheat bread like yeast. There is spices, banana, malt, and grassy hops. The appearance is golden. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall nice tasting but thin and slightly watery. thegreenrooster (4633) - St.louis, Missouri, USA - FEB 2, 2013
Pour is a cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma is some funk and grassy hop. Flavor is again with some funk with a slight grainy malt and not much else. It is going in the direction with a nice funk but not much of a flavor profile after that. I wonder what yeast was used? Bonus points for being a saison in a cheap six pack. cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - FEB 19, 2013
12 oz. bottle - Pours a clear golden color with a one finger thick white head. light lacing. Aroma is esters, light spice with a hint of soap. Flavor is fruity esters with a dose of light herbal hops. Light to medium body. A decent drinking beer. Not your typical Saison though. Tmoney99 (15130) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 28, 2013
Bottle. Poured clear amber color with an average frothy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Medium sweet balanced aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium bittersweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. This is a soft drinkable beer. RABinCO (1511) - Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA - APR 28, 2013
Bottle. Pours hazy gold with a nice white head that leaves a nice moderate lacing. Aroma is cotton candy, a bit of spice and funk. Taste is sugar with a light tartness. Crisp finish. Makes a nice dessert beer.
