12 oz bottle at home from backlog notes 07. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a large off white head. The aroma and flavor have pale wheat malts, lemon citrus, hay, perhaps a hint of spice. There really wasn’t much to this. I will not be revisiting this.

These seem to magically appear at my house every summer during pool parties. Not my favorite but certainly goes down easy and I don’t feel too guilty just drinking it from the bottle.

bottle. cloudy golden with small head. it’s like they took 9 parts of a very bland wheat beer, and then mixed in 1 part hefeweizen in. why can’t more american breweries make a proper hefe? all the parts are there, but they’re just so muted.

Vcoggins (53) - Cypress, Texas, USA - FEB 21, 2014
Pours a murky straw color with a white 2 finger head. Aroma is bready with malts, wheat, citrus, lemon grass. There is a very faint bubblegum or banana smell as well. Taste has wheat, German yeasts, a bit of clove and orange peel, faint citrus, tangy lemon grass. Mouth feel is medium bodied, medium to high carbonation.Drinkable Hefeweizen, but doesn’t taste like the greatest Hefeweizen. Almost more like an average wheat ale.

Bottle. A- Wheat, corn, butter, lemon. A- Orange color, cloudy liquid, white head. T- Slightly sweet, corn, wheat, water, yeasty, subtle banana. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, wheat finish. O- Not too flavorful. Far from being horrible, but just lacks a lot of the great qualities I love in a Hefe. Not overly satisfying.

12 oz. bottle. Appearance: great rocky white head, does not diminish, yellow-orange, cloudy, hazy, poor lacing. Aroma: heavy yeast, leaves, banana, mildly malty, hay. Palate: light body, thin oily texture, soft carbonation, wheat finish. Taste: medium sweetness, medium bitterness, slightly salty, very slight spice taste. Overall, not anything to rave about, though it is drinkable.

cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - NOV 10, 2013
Poured from 12oz bottle, pours a hazy gold with a thin head, the aroma is a little bit of wheat and some banana, the flavor has a little bit of fruit and banana with clove but nothing crazy, pretty light mouthfeel, ugh, give me a Dancing Man to help me believe in hefe’s again.

MadIndian (2743) - Levittown, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 6, 2013
Bottle. Body was thinner than I like. However, some notes of wheat, bread, banana. Easy to drink. Nice flavors.

ellolovey (483) - Georgia, USA - SEP 4, 2013
12 oz bottle. Pours a hazy dark gold. Aroma of yeast, banana, and a bit of citrus. Taste is just like nose. Citrus rinds, orange peel, banana, and wheat. Light and watery body. Good carbonation. Definitely not memorable.
