Lager eh? This comes across like a very light pale ale, Iím guessing the idea is that it is strongly hopped, canít say for sure what the hops are but there are hints of grapefruit rind and bitter herb, it feels Cascadey. I had a SNPA and Anchor Liberty earlier tonight and this is right in that same ballpark except for a slight floral element to the hops. All finishing hops come through more in the flavor than nose, which is restrained. Light, somewhat bready malts are barely worth noting. Hops are light bitter and a touch spicy at the finish. Slick mouthfeel. Its alright, not great, but Iíd pick it over 99% of the beers classed as "premium lagers". gregwilsonstl (2466) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - JUN 25, 2012
Light and clear brown. Thin white head. Very sweet and smooth. I would like this if it was fermented longer. Tabednar (139) - - JUN 23, 2012
Not a bad lager at all. I donít like that you could only get it in the reunion pack but I though it was a nice change to their staple beers... Smurf2055 (1400) - Seattle, Washington, USA - JUN 14, 2012
Pours clear golden with minimal head. Smell is bready, maybe malty. Taste is bread/dough, a bit of spice, lager yeast. Drinkable. Itís ok. Kiptheyip (46) - IRELAND - JUN 8, 2012
Had as part of the variety pack. I thought this was quite nice. Sweetish taste, bit of caramel, teeny bit of roasted grain. Quite a decent lager although somewhere in between sessionable and flavourful and doesnít fit in either category.

Clear copper with a white head. Slight cereal, spicy arome. Taste is light malts, with a dry, spicy hop finish. fushiryuten (1) - - MAY 29, 2012 does not count
Enjoyed trying this beer from the Shiner Family Reunion pack. Itís not my favorite one out of all the Shinerís but I think that it goes great with grilling and doesnít have to be ice cold to drink. jason1970 (143) - Illinois, USA - MAY 20, 2012
UPDATED: MAY 23, 2012 Nothing special. I started out thinking what a great bargain the Shiner Family Reunion 12-pack was at $9. But having tasted 4 out of the 6 beers included and being overwhelmingly disappointed with each, Iím rethinking my bargain. This was as lackluster as all the others. As a matter of fact, besides the hefeweizen which at least tasted different, all their beers taste virtually the same. Mediocrity would be the one word I use to describe my Shiner experience so far. They are all drinkable and go down easy, but there is no "there" there. gizmo_ber (190) - Steinwenden, GERMANY - MAY 11, 2012
Was a little concerned at first as it smelled of hops, and the dry aged hops note on the bottle wasnít helping. Iím not a hop fan, but this one is not as strong on hops as I thought it may be. In fact itís mild in all flavors. Not bad, but not a whole lot going on. Slegar (26) - Green bay, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 10, 2012
Not much to this. Little taste little aromas. The color is pretty good though.
