Really didn’t have much taste at all, very thin. Slight roasted, finishes clean and no real issue there, but just not much to taste. smaynard6000 (1152) - Apopka, Florida, USA - APR 27, 2012
12oz bottle. Pours a yellowish amber color with minimal white head. Aroma very faint. A little bit sweet and changing to bitter. Slightly creamy mouthfeel and a crisp finish. Not bad. mile (3937) - Helsinki, FINLAND - APR 24, 2012

Had this on a hot spring TX day out of the mixed pack and maybe it just caught me at the right time bc I actually enjoyed it. Light malt aroma. Golden in colo with slight white head. Clean tasting lager (light bready sweetness), but not too complex. Fech (291) - Parsippany, New Jersey, USA - APR 8, 2012
Delicious creamy lager. Wish I could get a full 6pk of these and not just 1 in a family pk.

Tasted bottle from Shiner Family Reunion mix-pack into shaker glass. It poured a predictable golden color with weak white foam. Cut-grass, mild malts, almost non-existent hops, some vague adjunct sweetness, and mild pepper phenols from yeast, yet pretty tasteless overall. Not skunky nor offensive, at least. A totally average light-bodied lager, perhaps somewhat pilsener-like, but much less nuanced than classic German examples. Thin, watery, and a bit metallic like most Shiner beers, sadly. This is a brewery I always want to love, despite my unsentimental tastebuds. Hudspart (538) - Byron Center, Michigan, USA - MAR 10, 2012
Bottle: ok, compared to most pale lagers, this is not bad. However, Shiner does not make a very good beer. jmagnus87 (2912) - Rockford, Illinois, USA - MAR 6, 2012
12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear gold with minimal head. Aroma of some grains and a little grassy hops. Taste is about the same. Light bodied with a thin texture. Lively carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, not too bad. This is probably one of my favorite shiner beers. BVery (10328) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - MAR 6, 2012
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Bottle. Very drinkable lager, but a lager nontheless. Pours an attractive crystal clear rich gold with a small white head. Aroma is cereal grains. Thinner palate with plenty of carbonation, and the taste is a simple yet somewhat pleasant grain and cereal bit. Doesn’t suck. Spookgolds (241) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 19, 2012
Bottle from a variety pack. Pours clear golden, with a quickly disappearing head. Nothing worth noting. Reminds me of a basic lager, not great. Not really even good. Won’t have again.
