12 oz bottle from D&Q. Somewhat unusual lager with a few hop and spicy notes. Not too sweet. mnurda (1305) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - JUL 9, 2011
Bottled sample from my Shiner family pack (great name). Was much better than I expected it to be segfault (103) - Centennial, Colorado, USA - JUL 4, 2011
Underwhelming. I’d rather have a Boston Lager than this. The bitterness, while not that high, is a bit much for the light malt backbone of the lager. GuilTTy (2264) - Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA - JUL 3, 2011
Bottle from Total Wine & More in Cherry Hill, NJ. Clear light amber under a short light tan head. No lacing. Not much aroma aside from a little straw. Not much going on in the flavors either. A few notes of lemon and very weak toffee now and again with a restrained malt presence. Thin texture and no noticeable finish. This was included in a sampler pack. Not worth seeking out on it’s own. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - JUN 28, 2011
Bottle from Bottle King. Nice copper body with medium head. Nose is quite malty and spicy. Taste is lots of hops with barley notes. Nice watery texture and quite enjoyable.

Pretty light and drinkable lager. I enjoyed it and would happily drink a case of it but nothing special. Braudog (6900) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUN 18, 2011
Bottle; clear and golden, without any hint of carbonation. This is an every-man’s beer, without much to be offended by, and little to get excited about either. Slightly corny, but not obliquely so. Eh ... (#4139, 6/18/2011) ronaldtheriot (2019) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - JUN 16, 2011
Shiner Kosmos Reserve has a thin-to-medium, egg shell-colored head and a clear, copper appearance, with a good amount of bubbles streaming up and some lacing left behind. The aroma is of roasted barley and, surprisingly, of some slight citrus. Taste is of barley, and a decent hoppiness shows up here. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Shiner Kosmos Reserve finishes crisp, clean, and very refreshing. Overall, this is one of the better Shiner offerings. I recommend it!

Bottle:   Translucent golden, very clear, thin whispy white head, sparce lacing.   Pale bready nose, fairly malty.   Sweet malty start, even a little bit of peppercorn or something.   Not half bad.   Pale breadiness.   Seems pretty smooth.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   The breadiness for some reason reminds me of waffles.   Clean on the finish.   Simple straight forward lager that has the right amount of sweetness.   Fairly tasty. scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - JUN 5, 2011
Clear light gold, small white head. Sweet honeyed cereal nose, little honeydew melon. Clean molasses sweetness, medium bodied, dries out in the finish with some hay.
