Pretty light and drinkable lager. I enjoyed it and would happily drink a case of it but nothing special. Braudog (6717) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JUN 18, 2011
Bottle; clear and golden, without any hint of carbonation. This is an every-man’s beer, without much to be offended by, and little to get excited about either. Slightly corny, but not obliquely so. Eh ... (#4139, 6/18/2011) ronaldtheriot (1936) - Laplace, Louisiana, USA - JUN 16, 2011
Shiner Kosmos Reserve has a thin-to-medium, egg shell-colored head and a clear, copper appearance, with a good amount of bubbles streaming up and some lacing left behind. The aroma is of roasted barley and, surprisingly, of some slight citrus. Taste is of barley, and a decent hoppiness shows up here. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Shiner Kosmos Reserve finishes crisp, clean, and very refreshing. Overall, this is one of the better Shiner offerings. I recommend it!

Bottle:   Translucent golden, very clear, thin whispy white head, sparce lacing.   Pale bready nose, fairly malty.   Sweet malty start, even a little bit of peppercorn or something.   Not half bad.   Pale breadiness.   Seems pretty smooth.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   The breadiness for some reason reminds me of waffles.   Clean on the finish.   Simple straight forward lager that has the right amount of sweetness.   Fairly tasty. scrizzz (2223) - Bothell, Washington, USA - JUN 5, 2011
Clear light gold, small white head. Sweet honeyed cereal nose, little honeydew melon. Clean molasses sweetness, medium bodied, dries out in the finish with some hay.

I would not call it hop-jacked, but at least it’s got more hops than macro lagers (which isn’t too hard to achieve anyway). I don’t remember this beer much, but then again that means it wasn’t very memorable. Sammer (1119) - Plano, Texas, USA - JUN 4, 2011
A rather uneventful, session type beer that does not stand out in any way. I’ll pass next time. unclemike (3124) - Ft. Riley, Kansas, USA - MAY 30, 2011
orangeish golden colour with a small frothy white head. Aroma is definately on the malty side with carmel notes. Flavours of corn, caramel and soft hops. A pretty decent lager all around. benfergy (248) - Valley City, North Dakota, USA - MAY 21, 2011
Shiner Kosmos is an orange beer with aroma that is very hoppy, as far as lagers go. The hops are rather herbal. The malty aroma comes out in sipping. It’s a rather subtle beer, but it’s alright. rugbydude05 (478) - Bridgewater, NJ, New Jersey, USA - MAY 14, 2011
12 oz bottle from Shiner Variety Pack. Pours a nice clear golden color, minimal lacing. Aroma is yeasty and bready like a typical lager but with a hoppy floral accent. Not as skunky as many lagers. Some toastiness as well. Taste is a good mix between sweet malty and bitter but really nothing too overpowering. Palate is smooth, slightly bitter aftertaste. I like it better than the traditional Shiner Bock, not a bad beer.
