Poured from a bottle. Clear golden color, medium white head. No real noticeable nose. Light body with a sweet grain flavor and a medium finish.

pours unclear bright gold with a shy white head, little retention/lacing. booze, toasted sugary malts, malt extract, caramel stench - like found in cheap acrid and almost rotten fruitieness, iron and other mineral traces. loose carbonation, light to medium body - oily, semi-sweet, metallic and bland woodsy-grassy finish. blah. onceblind (10897) - Denver, Colorado, USA - MAY 10, 2015
Clear deep golden with a thin Rocky white head. Funky earhy biscuit with a full yeasty lageriness. Clean quaffable body like all other Shiners; but with lots of crisp cracker and bread crust lager tones. It’s just a crisp lager without any corn notes or badness. But it also has no nuance. Clean and well made, but it’s still a blank canvas. AlfredReece92 (31) - Taylor, Arkansas, USA - MAY 9, 2015
I admit I like the smell asks the appearance when I poured out out of the bottle... But the taste just wasn’t there for me. The alcohol taste came through a bit too much and it left a after taste the reminded me of really cheap vodka... Try everything once but I won’t be buying it again LowBrau (143) - Tonawanda, New York, USA - APR 23, 2015
Medium gold color. Nice combination of medium sweetness and alcohol. Light bitterness and a touch of fragrance from the hops. Toffee aroma. Very enjoyable.

bottled - not that bad. Not much aroma. Pale golden color. Malt character, not much on the hop front but thats not really expected anyway. Very drinkable. rdixon77 (3106) - Georgia, USA - MAR 29, 2015
Old rating. Gold pour. Crisp malts, a little straw and some light hop. Nothing special. badhack (571) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAR 27, 2015
Clean, light lager with some hopping. Light body, straw and lighter malt flavors. I’d drink this if I saw it on tap or buy a 6 pack for a bbq. ordybill (1815) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - MAR 22, 2015
Poured from 12 oz bottle into a pint glass.
Aroma- mild aroma of malt and caramel.
Appearance- A nice dark golden color with a fairly large off-white head.
Taste- Has a yeasty flavor with a hint of caramel and some hop added for good measure.
Palate- A light bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Has a light and crisp finish.
Overall- A slightly better than average beer, I would drink it again but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it. KajII (801) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - MAR 7, 2015
The pour is a clear medium amber with a white frothy head. The aroma was somewhat mild with a wet cardboard adjunct odor, a mild hint of floral hops and a light touch of sweet malts. I find this to be a smooth crisp brew with a slight caramel malty taste and a decent hoppy finish. Definitely a well balanced Lager and would be a great brew for a nice spring day...
