This small batch brew is the third in our Limited Edition Brewer’s Pride Craft Brew Series. A combination of Citra and US Golding hops gives this refreshing lager its citrus flavor and floral aroma. The brew’s signature tartness comes from the fruit of the prickly pear, a cactus native to our brewery’s landscape that’s hearty, rugged and unmistakably unique - qualities we surely appreciate. Prosit!

12-oz can. Pours a hazy pale gold with a thin off-white head. Sticky sweet artificial nose, some rubbery plastic there as well. Watery light fizzy body. Heavy sweet artificial sugary mid palate, also showing some rubbery plastic. Heavy sweet finish. Like drinking Mountain Dew out of an old tire.

Slightly watery the pear flavor is very nicely infused with a lighter smoothbase, alcoholic aftertaste

Golden pour, thin white head. Aroma is fruity - more apple than pear. Some pear in the flavor. It feels a little off. A weird bitter finish. Not great.

Quick3Beers (1229) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - APR 10, 2016
Pours a clear dark amber from a bottle with a thin head. Fruity aroma, kind of like juicy juice. Not that good.

oldrtybastrd (5002) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - APR 10, 2016
Pours a golden yellow with a white head. Aromas of bread/malts/hops. Crisp hop flavor with hints of fruit/malt.

12oz bottle, thanks to Brian M. Shared with Joe M. Clear golden orange color. Pretty pleasant pear aroma up front, surprisingly nice actually. Kind of tropical fruity, like a punch. Decent kind of biscuity malt. Better than I expected. Pretty light, refreshing. Most importantly, it’s not nearly as sweet as I expected, it has a nice dryness to it. Light bitter taste, light to moderate sweet, nice pleasant tartness. Medium body, smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. Mild creaminess to the texture. Surprisingly solid fruit ale.

onceblind (9629) - Denver, Colorado, USA - NOV 14, 2015
Nice fruity berry nose with a little tart fruity twang. Smooth and crisp with a pleasant fruity touch, slight berry tartness, crisp blondish finish, nice fruity berry tones throughout without being cloy. Surprisingly good.

AirForceHops (7233) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - NOV 9, 2015
12 oz bottle. Clear copper in color with some spotty white head. Aroma is light fruits (grapes and berries) Some sugar. Almost like a Kool- Aid berry flavor from the 1980’s.

The pear and grapes come through in the flavor. This beer is mildly sugary with the body and texture on the thin / watery side. The carbonation is a bit too high and it really reminds me of what a carbonated Kool -Aid would taste like. Is this even beer? A pear cider? It’s not awful but I’m not ever going to drink it again.

obguthr (6344) - Staunton, Virginia, USA - NOV 6, 2015
Raspberry, perfeumey nose, some melon rind. Clear copper, thin head. Drier than expected, malt prominent. Raspberry at midpalate and beyond. Light body, moderate carbonation. Eh, it’s a fruit beer, kind of artificial tasting.

TXBadger (2811) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 25, 2015
Pours a clear light golden color with white head. Pear, light fruit on the nose; follows onto the palate. Light bodied. Finishes with light fruit flavors. Sweet.
