$3 bottle, served at Standard Market. I’d put this one down as a good summer shandy. Under the cap, I get just a whiff of grapefruit that could’ve come from the hop bill of some American Pale Ale (I had a taster of Sixpoint Resin for comparision, but they’re nothing a like). Beer is slightly muddy brown complexion, but pretty cleanly filtered. Grapefruit taste is a bit stronger,. Mild beer base makes this more like a shandy, letting the slight tartness stand out. Still, by blending with a fruit that’s similar to certain hop profiles, we get something better than the standard lemonade-weakened shandy.

A bit underrated IMO. Fresh red grapefruit aroma and flavor. A mild gingery finish. Active carbonation. It really did the trick after some hot summer yard work; very quenching. Pours pink hued blonde with just a wisp of head. Ultimately, it does what I think the brewers intended.

Pleasant fruity aroma. Minimal head that quickly disappeared. Tastes like a cheap or water-downed version of Schofferhofer’s grapefruit beer, and with a slight bitter/ginger aftertaste. Still, it was thirst quenching and overall is a bit underrated.

12 oz bottle pours a clear pinkish golden color with small short-lived white head and no lacing. Aroma is all ginger and pink grapefruit. Taste is slightly sour but devoid of any hops presence or anything that would make me think this is beer. Body is light with very fizzy carbonation. This some sort of alcopop, as subtle and successful in the beer market as Wile E Coyote’s Acme Anvil was as a roadrunner exterminator. Shiner would have more success with this if they doubled the alcohol and sold it in 16 oz or 24 oz cans at gas stations.

Light amber color with a quickly dissipating off-white head. Scent is of ginger. Flavors of ginger and perhaps a touch of wheat. Mildly refreshing. Rather sharp on the tongue. 4/12

Can @ Ducks Eatery. Deep gold, white head. Aroma is ginger, grapefruit, pepper, plastic berries. Flavor is sweet ginger cherry tart. Horrible mouthfeel. Really awful stuff.

Dunkles gelb schwacher schaum, im geruch etwas Ingwer etwas süß, im Geschmack recht wässrig ganz wenig grapefruit und eine merkwürdige würzigkeit die vom Ingwer her rühren könnte...

Bottle from Walgreens. Amber colour with a white head. Aroma of citrus. The taste is dominated by the sweetness of red grapefruit and the finish has plenty of ginger, giving a pleasing warmth. The fruit and spice flavours are well integrated with the malt flavour. Not much bitterness. An easy-drinking, fruit-flavoured beer.

Good summertime beer. Grapefruit taste with a ginger aftertaste. Smooth going down would definitely drink this in the summer.

12 oz. bottle. Had the misfortune of ending up with one of these at a Christmas party. Tastes of watery grapefruit juice with hints of ginger. Drain pour.

12oz bottle from variety pack. Pours a bright amber with no head and no lacing. Slightly fizzy. Aroma slightly "stale" at first turning to grapefruit and ginger after a few moments. Taste of weak ginger and mild beer, finishes with more grapefruit. Not bad, probably a good cold beer on a hot day. Probably wouldn’t buy again.
