Shiner joins the ranks of the macro brewers with this light American lager. There’s some light hop grassiness and mellow malt backbone. Thin and crisp. Pours pure golden but lacks any head. Zippy carbonation will make you think you are drinking seltzer. Certainly better than most light beers out there. Still sucks. ginotarugo (70) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 21, 2017
An underrated Pale lager, this Shiner Light Blonde is very drinkable. Very weak on the aroma side however, and low ABV. Overall, I enjoyed it, but prefer San Miguel for this particular style. ccex (1286) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 19, 2017
12 oz bottle labeled "Light Blonde" pours a clear golden color with medium white head that doesn’t vanish immediately, and leaves a bit of lacing. That’s the good part. Aroma, for what’s there. is of cereal grains, cardboard, and perhaps sour apples. Taste is neutral, with a metallic finish. Body is watery thin with lively carbonation. Is this low-calorie beer supposed to appeal to women? If so, it reminds me of Gertrude Stein’s critique: "There is no there there" Chalumeaux (1533) - Middleton, Massachusetts, USA - MAY 7, 2017
UPDATED: MAY 7, 2017 Poured from bottle thanks AirforceHops light golden color with a fluffy white head. Aromas of honey pale malts and mild floral notes. Taste is light slightly watery cereal grains honey ok yeast. AirForceHops (7140) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 7, 2017

No surprise that the flavor is extremely light. light pale maltiness, weak grain and mild cereal flakes. No bitterness and ends lightly sweet. Finish is clean. Body is very thin yet watery. Overall, I haven’t enjoyed this brewery’s yeast strain. This at least is not awful. I feel like overall this brewery has improved over the "Shiner Bock" I sampled years ago.
Now this is a light fucking beer! I kind of dig it. It seems every bit as carbonated as soda pop but not all syrupy. It has a touch of a breakfast cereal malt character and maybe even a hint of hops. It’s super clean so you can actually taste these things despite there being very little flavor overall. All that carbonation lends a satisfying bite to the finish as well. This is not going to fulfill the desires of most avid beer geeks but, let’s face it, most avid beer geeks are dipshits. I find it strangely compelling myself. Pours a very pale straw color with a small white head that leaves a nice lacing on the glass.
The aroma is mild and a little doughy with light herbal notes.
The flavor is lightly sweet & has a crisp maltiness. The beer is pleasantly bitter in a very mild herbal way.
Clean & crushable I suppose
Bottle labeled as light blonde. Twist off, refreshing light pale appearance. Light metallic aroma. Good bubbly cutting co2, nice. No heaviness in this brew, light as described, really goes down enjoyably. Could easily drink a few of these. Perhaps a mild hint of soap in the end. Good overall beer drinken experience. If it didn’t have metal in the aroma, I would have given it a 3. ozzy70 (1132) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - MAR 15, 2017
12 oz. bottle. Labeled as Shiner Light Blonde. Pour was clear golden, minimal white head. Aroma of sweet grains, apple. Taste was sweet, grain, bread, minerals. Cimbasso (889) - - FEB 11, 2017
Pours a very pale, clear champagne colour with a white head. Very little aroma. The taste is watery and thin with a flavour of weak malts and corn, or possibly rice. Zero hop flavour. If you are a serious beer drinker don’t bother with this one.
