(12oz bottle, courtesy of Fratto) Pours a clear pale yellow body with a small white head. Aroma of light cereal and some corn. Flavor is much the same. Watery mouthfeel and finish. My tap water has considerably more complexity. Could use for hydration after a good workout.

Bottle from pikapp327. Very pale and clear pour with a medium white head. There’s decent lacing. I’m only mentioning the lacing because there’s nothing else that’s goof about this beer, and let’s face it - I have never had lacing effect my enjoyment of a beer in the slightest bit. The aroma smells old and past its prime. I don’t know how this is possible. The beer hasn’t even been out a week yet. The taste really isn’t that bad. It’s just lame and uninviting. Minimal flavor and awkward. I really thought that after Shiner 102 and Old-Time Alt that Shiner might actually be trying again. I was wrong.

Dear Spoetzl Brewery and the town of Shiner,

This beer is a lie.

12 oz bottle. Pours a light straw yellow with fizzy white head. Aroma of grain and corn. Flavor is the same with notes of cardboard. Mouth feel is light, watery and over carbonated...Overall, it’s just like a Miller, Coors and Bud light.

Pours a clear light yellow with fizzy white head that dissapeared very quickly. Aroma is actually nice, a light berry smell.....Flavor is not bad, just not much of it.....slight berry and very little malt....Mouthfeel is very watery and high carbonation.....This is a light summer beer to quinch the thirst and not be very heavy, and it taste much better then a miller lite with slight citris notes added....that appears to be what they are going for with this beer, so Im not going to slam it, it was light and refreshing....I would drink this again on a hot day by the pool....and guys, if your woman doesn’t like beer, let her try this.....

Poured into a pint glass.

1.5 A: Extremely pale yellow, like diluted piss. No head and no lacing.

1.5 S: Nothing with a hint of grainy pungency.

1.5 T: Water. Not piss water like other macros, just plain water.

1.5 M: Carbonated water.

1.5 D: As drinkable as carbonated water.

This beer fucking sucks. The only thing it has going for it is that, unlike a lot of macros, I don’t want to throw up while drinking it. But even that isn’t good. Sometimes I’d rather taste something bad than nothing at all.

A: snifter. pours a really light crystal clear yellow color, lighter than most. white head with a decent retention level. low to moderate retention level and really moderate lacing.

S: smells like an american maco lager. some corn, but some perfume as well. I am getting worried.

T: i am so nervous...I just read the back of the bottle, it says 99 calories. so light in flavor. Tastes like a watered down brew. some sweet malts, but not much. Mostly corn flavors....and water.

M: goes down like water. high carbonation. very unappealing mouthfeel to me.

D: its drinkable...hell I could drink tons of these. better than a Mich Ultra, but I don’t drink that so I won’t drink this again.

A bit too sweet and light for a Shiner product, to me. Grassy, fruity. Very small head when poured into a glass. Refreshing.

Pours a very clear, watery looking yellow with a very small white head. Aroma has a sweet grainy, light grassy hops and some mild apple juice notes. Flavor is pretty much a watered down sweet apple juice, light grassy hops and an overall sweet grainy flavor. Very light body, thin texture and low fine carbonation. Overall not great but for a 99 calorie beer it has a little more flavor than the others but still not enough for me to want to actually drink it on a normal schedule.

Pale straw color with a white head. A bit too pale for my liking. Grains and hints of hops grassy hops in the aroma. Reminds me a bit of the old paste/glue years ago. Sweet flavors, perhaps a bit of grain, but more in the lines of grape and apple juice. Hints of floral hops. A light metallic feel. Finish is light with a bit of bitterness and grass. A quinine taste at times, that nearly asks for a lime. Just not right.
