Pours a nice golden yellow color with a minimal fizzy white head. Aromas of grains, straw, hops, and a hint of fruit. Flavor is a nice crisp pilsner taste. Starts grainy with touches of pepper and fruit and finishes with a mellow hop. alexsdad06 (10589) - West Chester, Ohio, USA - JAN 31, 2016
12 oz bottle from backlog notes. Pours a clear golden color with a small off white head. The aroma and flavor have toasted malts, grass, light caramel, general lager bland character, not to be repeated. GreatDane1632 (1169) - North Dakota, USA - MAY 8, 2015
Rated based on notes taken 3 Apr 2012 -- Drank on a trek to Pueblo, CO. This was a pretty good beer. Easy drinker, not too much detracting. slowrunner77 (12471) - Reno, Nevada, USA - OCT 2, 2014
pours a dark yellow with generous head. aroma a touch fruity with some floral hops and a bit of corn. unfortunately, the flavor is more one-dimensional and very bland (more corn, kit malts) though it does have a hop bite at the end. feel is prickly. overall, ok for the style, so i’m not sure it belongs so low as to be in the 3rd percentile in style, but why this style and this beer for your winter seasonal? well, i don’t really want to kill it, so maybe it does belong down there. and yes, great lakes is sooooo much better for roughly the same price." Bottle. Clear gold in color with a medium head. Aroma is just like a traditional American lager. Taste is well balanced, just not very good. TNT. generallee08 (773) - New York, USA - JUL 18, 2014
The body has a beautiful rich golden color with great clarity. There is a nice level of active carbonation streaming up to the head which I like see as it gives some life to a beer. This also helps support the tall white head. In the nose I pick up light aroma with faint grain notes and pale malt with hints of light leafy hops. On the tongue there is bright grainy flavor with a touch of the hops leafy spice. The finish is very clean, crisp and fresh. Its medium body and lively carbonation make for an easy drinking refreshing beer.
