Chesnut amber color and no head. Warm and flat body with a hint of cherry in the malt. Sweet rather than bitter. Quick profile.

Amber color, no head, no carb. Medium bitter taste, not much going on in the nose. Kind of boring.

On tap at the Ship Inn. Poured a medium orange color with an off white head. Served at cellar temperature and cask conditioned. Floral hoppy aroma and tastes with light malts (some toffee?).

Probiere (992) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 27, 2004
Cask. Orange, resin, bitter berry smells. Light copper color. Taste--orange-caramel, finishing light herbal bitterness and aftertaste. After two actual cask bitters, this is more interesting than Long Valley’s. Also, nice mouthfeel. Very drinkable.

07.21.04 Handpump at brewpub. Medium orange/amber; little head. Some apple, apricot, slight tang. Not at all dry. Tasty and quaffable. Nice stuff but I don’t love the style. Served at cellar temp.

Eyedrinkale (3235) - Astoria, New York, USA - JUL 15, 2004
Filtered clear orange color with thin head. Not a fav style of mine but I really liked this one. Tastes of sweet apricots and full bodied grains. Very impressive.

Hand pump at the Brewpub. Clear orange. Fruity aroma. Malty and hoppy. Enjoyable brew. Nice beer. Apricots.

MaiBockAddict (1497) - Good Beer Bar Deprived, New Jersey, USA - MAY 22, 2004
Hand pump at the brewpub. Clear orange, white head. Fruity aroma. Apricot and peaches. Flavor is malty and hoppy with apricot and peach again. Nice, full and round. Exemplifies the English style. Makes a trip to The Ship worth the time.

SETANTA (582) - Bangor, Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 19, 2002
UPDATED: JAN 26, 2006 Absolutely the best cask conditioned beer I’ve had. Hops were floral and abundant, malt balance was right on, texture from hand engine was superb
