Tarnished copper appearance. Some good cherries in here. Very thick and syrupy. Nutty, oat, walnut, cherry flavor. Medium finish. JB175 (1665) - Bucks County, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 29, 2007
Golden color with some reddishness in there . Aroma is dominated by tart cherries with some light malt. Flavor is wheaty, light, and endowed with only a bit of cherry. Not all that good. kyzr (1596) - Montana, USA - JUL 5, 2007
Thanks to skyview for this pour. Reddish gold with small white head. Hints of cherry on the nose with wheat. You really have to search for the cherry, but it is there, along with wheat. Body is very light, finish is clean. BDR (2535) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - APR 30, 2007
Thanks to skyview. Nice tart nose but the body disappointed. Wheat body with the faintest hint of tart cherry. JK (6289) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - APR 24, 2007
Shared by Skyview. I really wanted to enjoy this, but it is just too light. Light cherry aroma and a gold colored beer. A very light, but flawless cherry flavor. They have the right idea but like the other three beers I tried, they seem to be afraid of flavor.

The Shipwrecked brewpub was closed for the season. Luckily I could purchase a six-pack at Main Street Market in Egg Harbor, WI. Brought back to Minnesota and shared with the Twin Cities team. Pours a hazy golden yellow brew with a thin white head and thin lacing. Aroma is white wheat, roasted grain, and Door Country tart cherries. Flavor is wheat with a hint of tart cherries. Palate has a nice mix of sweet to the tongue and a dry finish. I would agree this is one of Shipwrecked’s best brews. zathrus13 (1776) - Mount Laurel, New Jersey, USA - APR 16, 2007
Pours cloudy gold. Aroma is cherries, and malt. Flavors are cherries and wheat. Light body. Interesting, but nothing really special here. Thanks to robertsreality for this bottle. robertsreality (2460) - Minnesota, USA - FEB 21, 2007
A Gold/Yellow Lantern Glow with a White Ring. Subtle Cherry Aroma. Intial Cherry Flavor...Subtle But You Know They Brewed With Fresh Cherries....Crispy Dryness At the End....Wheat Comes Out Towards the End. I Expected it to Be Potent Cherry Flavored When Instead its a Wonderfully Balanced Fruit Beer. Very Solid Brew. keoki182 (305) - West Bend, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 9, 2006
Shipwrecked is a fine place to visit for a good meal and great beer. I’ve sampled 3 or 4 of their house beers, but the Cherry Wheat was the best by far. It was a nice golden amber color with thin white lacings on the head. The aroma was dominated by semi-tart Door County cherries. There was also the aroma of a well-balanced wheat beer, grainy and malty. The taste was outstanding, especially for a wheat beer. I usually find wheat beers to be very thin and watery and leave me with quite a headache, no matter how much I consume. This one was very refreshing and smooth. The cherry flavor was perfectly balanced, not too sour and not too sweet. A perfect complement to Shipwrecked’s great burger selection. Brigadier (3750) - Chagrin Falls, Ohio, USA - FEB 15, 2006
Smells of sour cherries and wheat with a hint of yeast. Light amber body was mildly carbonated. Picked up a light cherry taste, subtle hoppiness, wheat. Finished smoothly with a taste of cherries. A light lingering aftertaste of honeycrisp apples. Not bad, but compared a certain other fruit beer made from Door County cherries, it falls far short.
