Shipwrecked is a fine place to visit for a good meal and great beer. I’ve sampled 3 or 4 of their house beers, but the Cherry Wheat was the best by far. It was a nice golden amber color with thin white lacings on the head. The aroma was dominated by semi-tart Door County cherries. There was also the aroma of a well-balanced wheat beer, grainy and malty. The taste was outstanding, especially for a wheat beer. I usually find wheat beers to be very thin and watery and leave me with quite a headache, no matter how much I consume. This one was very refreshing and smooth. The cherry flavor was perfectly balanced, not too sour and not too sweet. A perfect complement to Shipwrecked’s great burger selection. drywallman (367) - Lake in the Hills, Illinois, USA - AUG 30, 2004
This is what a cherry beer should be. Good full cherry aroma, hint of cherries in the taste, with malt steadily coming through, and a good dry hop finish. No sweet cherry syrup thing going on to gross you out here. Very drinkable in whatever quantity you desire. chrisbaar (10) - Dixon, Illinois, USA - DEC 20, 2007
A unique and tasty beer. The appearance is a rusty copper, topped with a craggy white head that falls into a smooth foam on top. The aroma is very acidic from the tart cherries with a little malt. The taste isn’t all that different from the nose, a smooth sweet malt topped with a sharp acidic tasty, like a strong lemonade, The aftertaste is very strong on the tart cherry. It’s a very good beer. tallguyinc (8) - Illinois, USA - OCT 20, 2012 does not count
I need to start by telling people to eff off. If you can’t read than that’s one thing. If you took 2 seconds to look at the bottle, you know what your are going to be drinking; a cherry wheat. Yes its fruity! But. Im pretty sure that’s the point. From my experience this is not a beer for everyone. If you are going to drink this understand it needs to be chilled to the point of almost frozen or the aroma is going to overpower the drink. It a great wheat with a refreshing cherry taste. Great for summer sipping out on the porch. Try it out and I think you will be suprised. Ughsmash (7510) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 1, 2005
Sweet cherries and wheat were very full in the aroma... very refreshing! Appearance was a clear rosy/amber with a light off-white head. Light-bodied and crisp on the palate. Flavor was sweet and tart cherries with a strong wheat backbone. Tart and dry cherry finish. Certainly one of the better fruit beers that I have tried.

The Shipwrecked brewpub was closed for the season. Luckily I could purchase a six-pack at Main Street Market in Egg Harbor, WI. Brought back to Minnesota and shared with the Twin Cities team. Pours a hazy golden yellow brew with a thin white head and thin lacing. Aroma is white wheat, roasted grain, and Door Country tart cherries. Flavor is wheat with a hint of tart cherries. Palate has a nice mix of sweet to the tongue and a dry finish. I would agree this is one of Shipwrecked’s best brews. robertsreality (2460) - Minnesota, USA - FEB 21, 2007
A Gold/Yellow Lantern Glow with a White Ring. Subtle Cherry Aroma. Intial Cherry Flavor...Subtle But You Know They Brewed With Fresh Cherries....Crispy Dryness At the End....Wheat Comes Out Towards the End. I Expected it to Be Potent Cherry Flavored When Instead its a Wonderfully Balanced Fruit Beer. Very Solid Brew.
