Pretty good stuff. It has always seemed to me that too many microbrews made stouts in one of two ways: either syrupy sweet like something you’d pour on a pancake, or like burnt coffee. This one seems to hit a nice balance to me.
Goes good with one of their burgers.
Draft at the brewpub. Pours black. Nose of caramel, raisin, and chocolate. Chocolate and toasted malt flavors. Somewhat creamy mouthfeel.

A rare beer shared by Skyview. A good, if unremarkable beer. Simple at good at being what it is. It has a nice coffee and burned oat aroma. Light roasted character, a little bitter and medium sweet malt. A black, thick beer that is heavy on the palate. BDR (2535) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - AUG 18, 2007
A treat from skyview. Dark brown body with creamy brown head. Dark roasted oatmeal nose with faint chocolate. Strong oatmeal with the usual chocolate and coffee undertones. badgerben (5316) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - AUG 18, 2007
Mystery Growler from SKyview. Black color with a medium head. Nice aroma of coffee. Very bitter coffee taste, but not as prominent as most coffee beers. Definitely a dry lactose taste as well. Really quite tasty.

New for the 2007 summer season, served on draught at the brewpub restaurant in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin. Pours an opaque dark brown brew with an average sized tan head that quickly dissolves to a fine film and tan ring. The stout was poured very cold which explains the head low profile. Aroma of sweet dark molasses, milk chocolate and some flowery hops. Taste is very light carbonation, full bodied, with a smooth milk chocolate and dark malt flavor. Finish is smooth, creamy with a slight bitterness and chocolate aftertaste. This year’s summer brew turned out to be pretty decent beverage.
