A dark, full bodied beer, with overtones of coffee and roasted barley, that is slightly sweet, with just enough hops to balance out the full malt flavor.

12 oz bottle; clear, dark brown with thin dark tan head; light, dry roast with a little chocolate and dry oat; drinks thin and bone dry; more roast than your average porter, so I’m digging that; flavor profile is a little light though; some more body too and this would be killer

Dark pour with a light tan head. Aroma-roasted malt. Taste- little creamy, low carbonation, roasted malt, a bit thin! Little sweetness, not much. Nice lacing.

Roasty. Nutty. Where’s the porter? Tastes like an overbearing brown ale. Oh well, not offensive in any way.

Deep reddish black with no real head to speak of. Bittersweet chocolate aroma with a hint of caramel. Dark roasted malt flavor with a nutty coffee undertone. Medium bodied with a creamy, bitter finish. A pretty satisfying porter.

On tap at the brewpub, pours black with a sweet chocolate and malty nose. Taste is bitter chocolate, porter-esque, a bit watery. Ok beer, maybe the best they had this weekend, but nothing to go out of your way for.

Pours a clear, very dark brownish red with a thin beige head. Aroma is sweet caramel, chocolate, coffee, grainy malt, buttery roasted nuts and an odd toasty wheat bread note. Flavor is sweet, light roast coffee, chocolate, roasted nuts and a roast note that waits till the finish to show up along with some light metallic notes. Palate is light bodied, slightly creamy on entry turning pretty dry fairly quickly. Not bad, pretty tame for a porter though.

This was really not terribly exciting. We really need to try better on this. Serving: Tap

Bitter aftertaste and tinny all along. Full body but not at all pleasent to drink.

Draft. Ever so slight coffee notes coming from this. Dark brown with slight tan head. Bitter ending. Not really a good porter.

Tap. I enjoyed this beer. It had a nice rich color and nice matly taste with lots of coffee/chocolate notes to it in the aftertaste. My favorite beer of what they had on tap during my visit.
