750 ml bottle to snifter. Looks good; a mostly opaque caramel with off-white lacing. Smells and tastes semi-sweet, tart, and malty. Average on the palate. Good stuff!

From the 750 bottle. Malty. Slightly sweet with hints of caramel. Low carbonation. Muddy in color. Bourbon throughout. No ESB here.

On tap at the Livermore Saloon. It pours a dark orange/amber color with a nice orange head. The aroma has a lot of bourbon, hot alcohol, plums and raisins. The flavor is fruity with some intense alcohol burn, bourbon notes, caramel, raisins and a bitter finish. Not bad. One of the better Shipyard beers I’ve had. Pretty hot though.

Pours clear amber into a snifter. Tan head recedes to nothing. Sweet toffee and oak aromas. Hot front to back with bourbon and oak upfront turning to a dusty lasting finish.

Pours a medium amber color. Aromas of caramel malt, hops, and a touch of bourbon. Caramel sweetness in the taste with a good bitterness of hops.

Tap at Cask and Vine.
Reddish amber color. Paint thinner and vodka aromas mixed with wood tannins and light sugary malt. This is horrible, I didn’t finish the 5oz in front of me!

Pours a one finger khaki head that fades quickly to a ring leaving some lace. Cloudy brown color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Bourbon nose. Flavor is bourbon and dark fruit, with a mild alcohol burn. Nice double ESB. Bottle #185, caged and corked 750ml from Madden Beverage Saco, ME.
