750 ml bottle to snifter. Looks good; a mostly opaque caramel with off-white lacing. Smells and tastes semi-sweet, tart, and malty. Average on the palate. Good stuff! drfabulous (8997) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - FEB 2, 2014
From the 750 bottle. Malty. Slightly sweet with hints of caramel. Low carbonation. Muddy in color. Bourbon throughout. No ESB here. joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - OCT 17, 2012
On tap at the Livermore Saloon. It pours a dark orange/amber color with a nice orange head. The aroma has a lot of bourbon, hot alcohol, plums and raisins. The flavor is fruity with some intense alcohol burn, bourbon notes, caramel, raisins and a bitter finish. Not bad. One of the better Shipyard beers I’ve had. Pretty hot though. thornecb (6192) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 28, 2012
Pours clear amber into a snifter. Tan head recedes to nothing. Sweet toffee and oak aromas. Hot front to back with bourbon and oak upfront turning to a dusty lasting finish. oldrtybastrd (5228) - Fort Walton Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 9, 2016
Pours a medium amber color. Aromas of caramel malt, hops, and a touch of bourbon. Caramel sweetness in the taste with a good bitterness of hops.

Tap at Cask and Vine.
Reddish amber color. Paint thinner and vodka aromas mixed with wood tannins and light sugary malt. This is horrible, I didn’t finish the 5oz in front of me! jimhilt (2641) - Bow, New Hampshire, USA - OCT 7, 2012
Pours a one finger khaki head that fades quickly to a ring leaving some lace. Cloudy brown color. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied. Bourbon nose.
