3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Poured two fingers of head on a brown colored body.
The aroma is wonderful. It’s a maltiness mixed with earth and forest.
The taste is somewhat watery with a roasted malt note and the mildest bitterness.
The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation.
The taste didn’t measure up to the great look and smell of the beer.
Clear light brown body with a wispy beige head. The nose is husky and slightly sweet with some light toasted and roasted maltiness. The flavor is pretty bland and thin, slightly sweet, husky, light chocolate, toasted malt, minimal hops. Light bodied and thinnish with soft fizzy carbonation. Another mostly failed effort from Sea Dog. yespr (47380) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - FEB 24, 2015
From tap. Pours clear, dark brown with a deep amber glare with a small tan head. Roasted malty and light breadish. Toasted, sweet malty. Bitter, toasted and light dry finish. lello4ever (1191) - ITALY - FEB 8, 2015
Dal Maine, New England, una buona brown ale all’inglese.
Sabor de caramelo, café e ameixas secas, adocicado. Retrogosto adocicado com final levemente ácido. slowrunner77 (12804) - Reno, Nevada, USA - SEP 26, 2014
"nice head, tootsie roll-like chocolate, slightly more hoppy in the aroma, but more nutty & sweet in the mouth. Not a bad little brown...better than expected from Shipyard."

Based on this being an English brown, I’m being liberal with points. The aroma is biscuity and some chocolate. Flavor is similar, English hops and biscuited malts. Fairly clean and drinkable but not a favorite Satyroneto (393) - BRAZIL - MAY 27, 2014
Cor marrom escura, com leve tom rubi e levemente translúcida; espuma de média/alta formação e média/alta persistência; pouco lacing que rapidamente se desfaz;
Aroma leve de chocolate e pão e café;
Sabor de início de café com final um pouco adocicado do malte; retrogosto torrado leve;
Corpo leve e baixa carbonatação; fácil de beber. Apesar de sem graça tem um conjunto equilibrado.

Crap. Pure crap. Did they even try to make a quality brown? Nutty anyone? Higher alcohol content? This is brown- light. Assholes. This beer sucks. Too sweet. See-through and low ABV. Fucking sugar wAter bitches. With a little bit of weak malt. You can keep pumping out your pumpkin in a can cause it's your only hope...for a while. Come on guys, strive for excellence and quality.,.not sugar water.

Reviewed from notes.
The appearance was a dark brown colored body with a moderate amount of carbonation seen rising with a one finger tan head that dissipated within a couple seconds. The lacing was light yet slightly foamy and it left some rings
The smell was a light roasted coffee with some caramels and nuts.
The taste was moderately sweet through previously mentioned flavors.
On the palate, it sat a light to medium, sessionable, dry aftertaste and finish.
Overall, this is a decent American Brown ale that I might have again depending upon what else was served. dlovell2 (2283) - Columbia, Maryland, USA - JAN 19, 2014
Brown color with white head. Sweet nutty malt aroma. Sweet nutty malt flavor with vanilla flavors. Really good brown.
