Bottle. Poured with a small, off-white head, that diminished to hardly anything at all. Body was mostly clear and sparkling, with a slight haze, and a beautiful dark-orange color. No real lacing to speak of. Aroma wasn’t anything special... lightly hoppy. Nice on the palate, with a light to medium body, slightly oily, and lively carbonation. Very nice flavor that starts off bitter and acidic, and finishes off... bitter, of course, but heavier hops than would have been expected. Overall, a very nice pale ale that I would easily drink again.

This Pale Ale does have a unique flavor, it doesn’t taste like most others that I’ve had but I didn’t enjoy the lingering aftertaste that it had.

They’ve changed the bottle recently, it’s orange now. Pours an orange color. Clear with a foamy tan head. Mild yeast aroma. Very hoppy with a mild malt finish. The hops taste like aluminum. Clear and refreshing with a thin mouthfeel. Not that great. Once this six-pack is gone I probably won’t buy it again.

I got this 12 oz. bottle from a beer club along with three other selections. Pale ales typically do not thrill me and that carries over here. It has a decent pour, a medium yellow liquid and a glorious, strong, bright white head. The smell is grain, dough and a metallic tone. The taste, well, still grainy and some kind of astringency. You try a new beer and sometimes it works and other times it does not.

Bottle...Mediocre for the style, too much bittering hops and not enough flavor or aromatic hops. Still, this is drinkable.

Aroma is is bread and a lot of fruit. Some malt and fruit in the taste. ok pale ale but nothing remarkable. was sold by the name.

I always feel a sense of relief after opening and pouring a craftbrewers Pale Ale and am rewarded with a nice medium brown gold color instead of a thin yellow fizzy. Jimmy Carter be praised. Sour yeast and malt aroma and a tight smallish head. Yeasty malt flavor is immediately cut by the hops and a steady carbonation works to keep things light and dry. Nice rendition of the style and a surprisingly good offering from Shipyard.

Has a very crisp aroma that is very springy and floralish. Is a light amber, very clear and sparkly appearance. Has a light white head, looks very appealing in glass. Very good flavor that is not too bitter or sweet. A perfect summer beer.

pours amber with 1 finger white head. Herbs and lemon with sweet malt aroma and taste with a touch of skunk. Smooth and watery with an herb after taste. Low on alcohol content as well. Nothing noteworthy, wouldn’t try it again.
