Poured from bottle. Pours amber with white head. Aroma is carmal malt with citrus, herbal, and floral hops. Flavor is sweet caramel malt up front with an earthy herbal, citrus, pine hoppy finish. Clean crisp finish. This is one of the beers responsible for my interest in craft beer that I had back in 2003. This beer is true classic.

Pours an straw from a bottle, grassy notes, seemed more like a lightly hopped pilsener taste-wise. Okay beer.

Plain w/out flaws or anything that makes it stand out! Light coppper pour w/ a thin white head & a bit of lacing. The aroma has some subtle malt to it. The taste is dominated by semi sweet malt that makes the beer pretty drinkable. It’s light & good for summer but to call this a flagship beer is a little scary & concerning about what else they have to offer! Mediocre at best!

Bottle @ home. Clear orange golden color, medium sized white head that lasts for a decent while and leaves fair lacing. Smell and taste malts, some bitter, slightly hops. Not very outspoken, no flaws, pretty straightforward. Average body and carbonation.

Borresteijn (7172) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - APR 23, 2015
355mL Bottle from drankgigant.nl. Clear amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of a typical English ale, fruity, melon, caramel, hint of toast. Flavour is sweet at the onset, caramel/toffee, malts, fruity, mid is more bitter, nutty, toast, light floral, light hoppy bitter finish. Light bodied. OK stuff. More a Bitter than Golden Ale to me, very English in character.

Pours gold with a thick offwhite head. Aroma of bananas, spicy yeast and sweet malt. Taste follows, bananas, sweet caramel and funk. I can’t get past that weird yeast profile.

Bottle at home. Pours Amber with one finger of white head. Some caramel and toffee in the nose and flavor. Decent beer. Better than the ratings. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
