UPDATED: DEC 11, 2008 [bottle] Pours a nice golden color with a thick white head and lots of carbonation. Floral and hoppy aroma mixed with a slight hint of grass. Flavor is an initial malt taste followed up by a bitter hoppy bite and a slightly dry malt finish. Bitter aftertaste and very watery.

This beer is modeled after Molson Export. Nothing much to this beer. It's a shame because most people try this Shipyard before they try other Shipyards. In my opinion, many of the other Shipyards are more interesting than the export ale.

Pours gold with a large white head. Aroma is floral and grassy. Flavor starts malt without too much sweetness. Finish is bitter and hoppy. Thin mouthfeel. Not much going on but what is there is nice.

Good hop aroma with some malt in the backgound. Clear copper colored beer that had a decent white head that laced the glass well. Good biscut malt type flavors with a good hop bitterness to balance. This is a good well made ale with a decent overall flavor. I would drink this beer again.

Clean gold, decent craggy head. Dry, hoppy aroma. Interesting flavor - Diacetyl, malt and hops up front with a round corn-ey finish.

A pretty good beer - reminded me a bit of an ESB. Decent color and flavor with a slightly dry, hoppy finish.

Light golden color with a small amount of head. Flavor is pretty decent. Not a lot of complexity, but it has a good mouthfeel and a nice bitterness to it.

What a beautiful pour, it looks like liquid caramel. Taste isn't that good - taste like a MGD or something to me. I expected more out of this beer. Oh well, with beer, like women, expectations were made to be lowered.
