Good hopped flavor from a non ipa. Would be a acceptable substitute in the unlikely chance that a true ipa was not available. Not the greatest beer but quality and very drinkable.
Draft. Hadn’t drank one in yrs. Sale do figured would try another to rate. Looks good. Tastes awful. Not sure how shipyard still in business thorongil2 (2998) - , Ontario, CANADA - FEB 5, 2017
(Tap) clear, bright golden colour with a small white head; aroma starts with dough, then jam, hint of roast; clean flavour with a long, light bitter finish. Lively representation of this generally boring variety. mahkus (136) - Aberdeen, SCOTLAND - DEC 20, 2016
Poured from a cold bottle into a glass. Clear golden amber appearance. Quickly dissipating haed. Very palatable to drink. Bit watery. altonbrownd (5898) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - AUG 27, 2016
Bottle from Chevy Chase Wine and Liquor. Dark amber body with slight head. Nose is floral, hops. Taste hoppy, slightly spicy. A bit unbalanced and sweet. Creamy in the finish. MarkSachon (1009) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 31, 2016
Bottle from the sampler case. Pours with a beautiful head. The taste and balance is very good. You will like this beer.

Nice full flavor... Slightly sweet in the at first but full flavor at the end commonshawn (1216) - Minnesota, USA - APR 9, 2016
Tap at Luke’s lobster in DC. In Mason jar. Copper with small white head. Smells of cheap grain, and taste is similar. Sweet and some malt there. Pretty below average. rondphoto (4383) - Lakeside Park, Kentucky, USA - JAN 17, 2016
bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Nearly clear dark amber with a head that drops to a light cover, strips of lace. Taste is caramel malt that grows into a medium fizzed swallow, the malt continuing to grow until light hops enter to keep things in check. A "plain-jane" brew, but awfully easy to drink. Dal9000 (630) - Ohio, USA - DEC 24, 2015
Pours copper with a thin fading white head. Aroma of wheat and metallic "dirt " for lack of a better image. Taste of classic Pilsner with a tang of dry wheat. Dry finish in the mouth.

I waited a month or two before drinking so the oxidation might me my fault. The skunky smell and average taste are all Shipyard’s fault. Too sweet of a start and too bitter a finish. Bad combo.
