NikkTwist (3586) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 15, 2018
UPDATED: MAR 15, 2018 Draft at Moriartys. Clear very dark brown/black pour with soft off-white foam. Lots of dark berry flavors. Blueberry. Blackberry. Blackcurrant. Peat. Semi-glossy chocolate liquor. Better than expected.

UPDATED: JAN 15, 2018 Bottle from Lucky in San Carlos, CA. Aroma is blueberry, chocolate and some cereal, taste is more dry chocolate with blueberry...very beer-like but also mildly dessert-y as well. Def stands as a porter / fruit beer.

Bottle from Smith’s. Pours hazy, dark brown with big, tan head that laces well. Nose is huge blueberry, caramel malt, hops, and I get a whiff of female taint in this. Tastes of blueberry, caramel malt, hops, smooth finish.

Bricks (1180) - Delaware, USA - JUL 21, 2017
A dead super dark brown/black appearance.. The aroma is legendary... blueberry pancake goodness. Taste is a bit odd.. like thin blueberry boozy tea.

Bouteille 650 ml.

pictoman (1283) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 29, 2017
Poured from 650mL bottle. Near black with tan head. Lots of blueberry, roast malt, hint of chocolate.

b3shine (9484) - Indiana, USA - APR 23, 2017
750 ml bottle to plastic pint cup. Looks good; a translucent cola with beige head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells blueberry-forward with notes of chocolate and oak. Tastes like it smells with a bit of coffee as well. Mouthfeel is medium full-bodied and finishes mildly to moderately tart from the blueberries. Enjoyable.

[email protected] (backlog). Deep rubyish copper colour with a small beigeish/red head. Aroma is blue berries awith some slight grassy and wooden notes. Flavour is blueberries, some mild caramel, toffee and slight alcohol to it. Big bold palate.

Draft pour at bar. Pours a really deep black with very small light head. Very crisp blueberry taste on the front end followed by a smooth chocolate finish.

Much more interesting than any other fruit beer I’ve tried, this one has some remarkable qualities. Pours dark brown with a tan head that lingers. Was not expecting that. Aroma permeates the room thoroughly. Amazing. On closer inspection the smell of fresh smashed blueberry melds with a firm cocoa presence. The flavor continues this chocolate-covered blueberry thing quite well, and as it warms the tart berry comes out more so. Finishes fairly dry with a lingering chocolate aftertaste.
