pours a light red or amber with thin tan head. strong floral aromas. taste is strong citrus - some orange which shifts more to light grapefruit in the finish. Some alcohol is evident, but, for the most part, very well balanced for its strength. If the IBUs were a bit more subdued, this would be a surprisingly easy-drinking high gravity beer.

This is an extremely drinkable beer for it’s strength. Pours a beautiful hazy copper/amber with a foamy off-white head. Aromas of grapefruit, citrus, some pine/cedar, and caramel. It’s full bodied with a medium carbonation, goes down quite smooth. There is a nice malt sweetness balanced by some lingering bitterness from the hops. Very balanced for an IPA of this proportion. Booze flavor is present, but not overpowering. Definitely a heavy hitter.

355ml bottle. Pours clear amber with two fingers of creamy beige head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, citrus, sweet and candied fruits. Taste is similar with the sweetness well balanced by a good final vegetal hoppy bitter dry finish. Hops probably a bit muted by the time. Excellent drinkability for a 9+ ABV beer. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Very good.

65 cl bottle bb 12/2014, 9.25%, 70 IBU, 5€. Dark copper color, hazed, big expanding creamy offwhite/beige head. Strong IPA smell on the nose. Aroma is a load of caramel malts and huge amounts of american hops. Some fruity ester, grapefruit, rose, orange zest, red wine. Taste is sweetish ending up in a tight bitterness. Rock solid aromatic IPA, the 9.25% is very well hidden, while the 70 IBU is biting. Full body, soft carbonation, medium-long finish. Very good IPA.

Bottle. Gorgeous copper pour with a short tan head. Citrus and caramel with floral hops in the aroma. Taste is earthy and floral hops, spicy hops, citrus, big caramel, chewy malt and toasted grains. Body is medium-full with a chewy body and dense, creamy carbonation. Finishes with more earthy and floral hops, soft citrus, chewy caramel, toasted bread and sweet malt.

Bottle shared by my uncle Ino. Clear dark orange to light reddish color, medium sized beige head. Aroma is malts, lightly caramel, slightly a distant hint of dark fruits and lightly hops. Taste malts, decently bitter, caramel again lightly, lightly dark fruits, light to moderately hoppy and perhaps a slight hint of alcohol. Decent body and quite soft carbonation. More easy to drink than I had expected. OK beer.

This beauty pours a dark murky orange with a nice beige head. Aroma is of pine, resin, toffee, grapefruit, and caramel. Definitely tastes the booze in this boy. Tastes of strong toffee and caramel malts with powerful pine, and bitter grapefruit. Quite a full bodied syrupy mouth feel with warming alcohol feeling. Has kind of a boozy bitter finish, which I welcome during the Winter months.
