Draft at the Green Growler. Average looking pour. The rich, sweet aroma is the star of this show. Unfortunately the flavor lags behind - dry with dashes of grapefruit, pine, & yeast. A solid brew but not a first rate imperial. paolo71 (113) - Alviano, ITALY - MAR 15, 2015
Beige, frothy head, not very persistent. Amber, fairly cloudy. Fairly intense and persistent at nose. Honey, caramel , raisin, resinous, citrus, a hint of chocolate, Average carbonation. Taste of roasted malt, chocolate. Warming sensation but not heavy sensation of alcohol. BrewGoblin (632) - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, CANADA - FEB 12, 2015
One glance at the bottle and....I am not sure really, it looks classy and greasy all at the same time. What lurks inside is a fantastic brewski, why it isn’t rated higher for style I am not sure? Is the SRM off? Is it too sweet? Whatever, style bitchiness aside this is a pretty fuckin’ tight ale. Barreling off of a dark copper body come audacious aromas of peach, tangerine, sweet grapefruit, pineapple, honey and some wee vinous hints. T’is a big, bold fruity IPA , headed up by off-white foam. It is pretty much on the sweet side but enough grapefruit zing saunters in late, managing to hold this tropical train on it’s tracks. With a full mouthfeel and a fine lingering lusciousness consisting of sweet and citrus fruit, this booze-hiding big’gun is very much a tasty pour. ogivlado (8108) - Zagreb, CROATIA - JAN 29, 2015
Bottled 355ml. -at O’Hara Zagreb. Clear amber coloured, small off-white head, caramel and alcohol in the nose. Moderate sweet malty, caramel, dried fruits, hops and alcohol with pretty short and weak finish for nearly 10%ABV. northropfrye (3693) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JAN 27, 2015
Amber body. Not super bitter has a nice sweet malty Belgian candy element as well. On tap at bb winnipeg.

Bottle at O’Hara Zagreb, with Ribafish (huge thanks Marin & co!). Poured a darker amber body with an off white head that went away relatively fast. Sweet earthy, more malty than hoppy aroma, ok. Though I feared that would mean a sugar bomb, the taste disproved me quickly - lemongras-forward hop, on dry maltiness - slightly figgy, caramelly, which is overrun by a good bitterness. Quite tasty beer, I like it! cards04 (2922) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JAN 13, 2015
This is a really nice iipa. Pours an amber color with white head. Aromas are quite malty. Bread, sweet yeast. Nice sweet malts up front with a hoppy finish. Not crazy complex .. But a very approachable double IPA. Alcohol is very well hidden bytemesis (9233) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - JAN 5, 2015
Tap. Pours clear deep amber, medium creamy beige head, lung lasting, great lacing. Aroma is a bit butter, grapefruit, caramel, pine. Flavor has butter as well, medium sweet and medium bitter, pine, some citrus. Full body, creamy. swiseman (526) - Fredericton, New Brunswick, CANADA - JAN 4, 2015
pours a light red or amber with thin tan head. strong floral aromas. taste is strong citrus - some orange which shifts more to light grapefruit in the finish. Some alcohol is evident, but, for the most part, very well balanced for its strength. If the IBUs were a bit more subdued, this would be a surprisingly easy-drinking high gravity beer. shdougan (48) - Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, CANADA - DEC 27, 2014
This is an extremely drinkable beer for it’s strength. Pours a beautiful hazy copper/amber with a foamy off-white head. Aromas of grapefruit, citrus, some pine/cedar, and caramel. It’s full bodied with a medium carbonation, goes down quite smooth. There is a nice malt sweetness balanced by some lingering bitterness from the hops. Very balanced for an IPA of this proportion. Booze flavor is present, but not overpowering. Definitely a heavy hitter.
