Strong malt backbone moderates the high alcohol content, overall a pretty good ale. Nice copper coloring too.

shawnmurphy (666) - Plattsburgh, New York, USA - JAN 17, 2018
12-ounce bottle from a 12-pack sampler pack pours hazy amber-copper with a small spritz of off-white head and lacing. Aroma: ripe peaches, banana bread, pears, apples, honey, brown sugar, nuts. Flavor: Somewhat of a combination of the above, yet with off-putting phenols, perhaps because bottle has gone bad (I know that brewer is better than this); booziness and sweetness throughout with a bitter finish. Mouthfeel: full-bodied, somewhat slick. Leaves me with a headache on just the first beer.

FROMTHEBOTTLE (85) - Ontario, CANADA - SEP 2, 2017
650ml bottle. Pour is copper in color with thin head. Aromas of sweet malt and caramel on the nose. On the pallet red grapefruit and the bitterness of the Cascade hops dominate. Some spicy notes mixed with floral undertones, Dry finish with persistent dry bitterness. The 9.25 abv well shielded as the malt and hop play off each other.

Sissio (1783) - Orsenigo, ITALY - JUL 4, 2017
Bottle at home. Dark copper, clear, cream orange head. Fulfilling sweet malts, caramel, spicy, nutmeg, red pepper, sweet red orange juice. Bitter sweet balance, butterscotch, complex taste with bitter lasting finish.

Dorqui (2298) - Brescia, ITALY - JUN 18, 2017
Bottled 0,35L. Elegant and fraught orange hazy color, much bubbly aspect and creamy head of short duration. Intence flowery and aged grapes aroma, notes of cellar, stum, yeast. Intense and solid impact alcoholic mouth, sweetish and charged mouth, excessive crisp and lively palate.

Quick3Beers (1507) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - APR 5, 2017
Pours a straw from a bottle. Big pine/tropical notes in the nose follow into the mouth. Rather sweet. Good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355 ml bottle - bbd = March 2015 It may have been passed it’s prime. Tasted fine, but nothing more. Red grapefruit was still reckognizable, but not too sweet. Coppel colour with almost no foam.

chadski (173) - California, USA - FEB 11, 2017
Plays by the standard rules for an imperial IPA. Nothing remarkable or outstanding, but overall a decent effort.

john44 (3456) - SW London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JAN 23, 2017
Bottle. Copper in colour. Very Hoppy; piney resinous and grassy spicy hops. Fruity; grapefruit and tangerine citrus. Malty; toasty malts, wheat and caramel. Nice hop/fruit/malt balance. Much sweeter than most American IIPAs or DIPAs. Quite fruity and spicy, with a pronounced and lingering hop dryness. Enjoyed this. Nice IIPA! (2011-03-06)

decaturstevo (6343) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - OCT 6, 2016
Orange pour with white head and lace. Aroma is large resiny hops and sweet bready malt. Flavor starts out as big sweet maltiness followed by resiny hops. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. very good

HoppyScallywag (339) - Butler, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 21, 2016
Malty aroma but not nearly as malty as I anticipated on first taste. The malt is mellowed by a very slight citrus and the alcohol warm. A little heavier, but not out of the question in the summer, if in the mood. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
