NIGORI is the way sake first appeared when it was brewed for the Imperial Court in Kyoto as well as for most of its 2,000 year history. It is coarsely-filtered and the sweetest of all our types of sake. It is especially delicious with very spicy foods. The bottle should be shaken each time before pouring due to the high rice content that settles in the bottom of the bottle.

This bottled Sake poured with no head and a very creamy thick milky body with fine particulate. It had a very milky lacing. The creamy mildly vinous aroma was very pleasant. The mouth feel was thick and creamy initially and ended with a much stronger milky vinous thick palate. The flavor was thick and milky with a mild vinousness to it. Very tasty for a Sake. Over all, very nicely done. I liked it and would definitely buy it again.

Bottle 375ml, a cloudy off white liquid, nose is on fermented rice, bit of acetone and almond. Taste is very sweet with light sourness, aroma on rice, almond, ripped fruits such as apple and cider like, alcohol is burning. Body has a milk like taste with cider notes, very sweet, very nice and surprising sake.

This is my first ever rated sake and to my knowledge the second sake I’ve ever tried. Rated in friona tx. Cloudy with color. Aromas sweet musky rice, alcohol and bread. Flavors very sweet rice, bread and medium alcohol (big through the nose). Highly sweet and mono-toned (guess thats normal in sake land). Interesting.

Looks like almond milk with sediment. Boozy and hot with a mild sweet undercurrent. Better with food than alone.

A very commonly found Sake. Aroma: Alcohol, rice, sweetness. Appearance: Cloudy white, almost like milk. Notes of banana and fruit along with sweetness. Palate is clean. It’s a normal sweet Sake. I prefer some of the other ones more but this is a fine introduction.

Cloudy white. Very mild, sweet, slighty friuty with pear aroma. Low acidity. It’s ok, but I had better nigori.

Bottle at susbi spott, mill creek. Pours a nearly opaque pearlescent white. Sweet nose, boozy, like rice pudding or tapioca, showing vanilla. Sticky thick body, boozy, vanilla, rice pudding on the mid papats. Long sweet boozy finish.

UPDATED: APR 26, 2015 From sampler tray at Ugly Fish. Milky white pour; leaves behind dregs of rice on the side of the glass. Aroma is soy sauce, rice, booze. Taste is sweet and boozy. Tastes good, but I’m no sake expert.
