3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample at Kurtkeller 001: Pumpkin-tastic 01 on 11/22/2013. Dark brown pour with a thin beige head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lace. Aroma of chocolate, malt and vanilla. Light-bodied with flavors of sweet cocoa, vanilla and malt. The finish is sweet with a pure milk chocolate aftertaste. Decent, although I don’t know what exactly qualifies it as "Belgian" unless it refers to the chocolate.
12oz bottle (courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Shaker at 43°. Color is black with good carbonation and a small tight tan head. Aroma is light giving just a hint of roasted malt and vanilla. It has a lighter medium body with an almost creamy mouth feel. Flavor just jumps right out at you with nice chocolate and light roasted notes. After taste is slightly sweet with the chocolate holding on. Overall it’s one of the best chocolate flavored brews I’ve had. Blairgus (4613) - California, USA - SEP 17, 2016

Dark brown color with a moderate sized tan head. Chocolate malt-o-meal scent (I like chocolate malt-o-meal, personal bias). Crème d Cocoa flavor with a touch of vanilla. Bit syrupy. Sticky. Dessert style brew. 6/14

En bouche :
Corps : plutôt mince.
Effervescence : moyenne.
Texture : légèrement huileuse aux notes minérales.
Finale : moyenne-courte, composée d’un léger goût résiduel de poudre de chocolat avec des petites notes herbeuses.
Poured from a 12 OZ bottle into a tulip glass.
Aroma- has a very strong chocolate aroma, very unique for a brew
Appearance- pours a coffee black with a small dark head
Taste- a huge chocolate flavor that caught me off-guard. Not a bad taste but little hint of a beer in there.
Palate- a medium bodied beer with a creamy sensation.
Overall- I thought it was good, a beer to drink for an occasion and not for a multiple beer event. a Pleasant surprise

pours unclear dark brown, dark mahogany tint, with a small beige cap offering minimal retention and lacing. sweet chocolate treats, powdery milk chocolate, vanilla, hazelnuts - nutella *TM, lightly astringent leather and herbs, raspberry fruitiness (!), shy yeast if not absent/hided esters. moderate carbonation, light body - oily; sweet and awkwardly astringent herbal and mineral-chalky finish. artificial proportion stands out versus natural cocoa and vanilla beans. then again, this is not terrible. Absolutely love this beer. Very bummed it’s not being brewed this year!!! sonnycheeba (6126) - Federal Hill, Baltimore, Maryland, USA - AUG 3, 2015
Bottle. Pours murky dark brown with head that quickly dissipates. Aroma is milk chocolate, orange peel, and bready malts. Flavor is bland with mostly chocolate flavors, light vanilla sweetness, and a dry finish that leaves a somewhat bad aftertaste. Light/medium body. BeerRenter76 (1017) - Texas, USA - JUL 22, 2015
Pours a deep brown with hints of red where the light gets through on the edges. Fairly large head forms and is tan in color. Aromas of sweet chocolate and vanilla hit right up front. Fairly one dimensional, with sweet notes beginning to end.Starts with a vanilla sweetness that moves quickly to chocolate. Some grainy wheat notes on the back end of the drink.Low to medium in carbonation. Overall its smooth across the palate and extremely easy drinking. gopherfan99 (1947) - Minnesota, USA - JUL 6, 2015
Bottle (Aviano PX); pours dark brown with a beige head; aroma is sweet with cocoa and wheat; taste is sweet with chocolate and a little wheat and vanilla; light bitter finish; nothing really spectacular with this one.
