The aroma is a little watery but has burnt malt, coffee, adjuncts, and a touch of chocolate. The appearance is amber with a small head. The taste is like the aroma with a bitter finish. The palate is average. Overall it’s borderline interesting but can’t get the chillies. DANEgerous (96) - Texas, USA - NOV 17, 2012
Aroma of a somewhat off putting sourness pours a cloudy orange. Taste, well even if you hate it it is at least unique the note sadly come off as two or three good beers not so artfully blended into one confusing beer it clashes with it self and commits to little to any of it more funky sides it is also rather thin, shame it it a limited run it is fantastic to cook with if you have a few to many add it to chili or mole souse, this is not to say it is hideous at leas try it it is okay just kind of poorly executed hogan873 (451) - Joliet, Illinois, USA - NOV 17, 2012
Cloudy brown body with a thin off white head. The aroma is very light with a hint of chocolate and a touch of spice. Thin mouthfeel with decent carbonation. The flavor is better than the aroma. Moderately sweet up front with some nice chocolate notes. It finishes with a nice spice, and there's a bit of a chile aftertaste. Not bad at all.

Bottle courtesy of Blipp at James’s November 2012 tasting. Aroma is sweet spice, light fruit and malt. Mouthfeel is carbonated and thin with notes of spice, light fruit, wheat, malt, eh - not terrible but pretty bland.

Pours unclear pale copper with whiteish head. The aroma is light of spice, light sweet musty wheat. The flavor is soft dark wheat, a touch bland but not bad. The chocolate malt is barely there but the chili spice shows after a while. An alright brew, I don’t regret trying it but it gets tough to finish. umich03jm (3512) - Flat Rock, Michigan, USA - NOV 15, 2012
Draft. Pours a somewhat hazy pale orange color with a small amount of head that lingered. Aroma is sweet bread, chili pepper, and spices. Taste is like drinking spicy corn syrup, really odd. It’s not terrible but it’s also not good. Too sweet and the flavors don’t mesh well. I won’t be drinking this again. SphinxTX (2878) - Mata Gorda, Texas, USA - NOV 14, 2012
Bottle. Pours murky brown with off-white head. Aroma of somewhat tart wheat. Flavor of tart wheat, some citrus notes, very, very subtle hints if chocolate, well balanced. Light mouthfeel with high carbonation. Overall, I dont taste the chili they speak of...wait a sec...ok, there it is.... Finhead (1846) - OFallon, Illinois, USA - NOV 13, 2012
Brownish-red pour with a white head. The aroma has wheat with mild hop spice. It has a medium body with somewhat creamy texture and average carbonation. The taste is sweet with a smooth finish. nearbeer (5662) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - NOV 12, 2012
12 oz. Hazy dirty brown with a lasting disc of foam. Faint nose of caramel and cardboard. Flavor is cola, peppery cardboard and caramel. Near-medium body is balanced and has medium-high carbonation. Inoffensive, bland, and drinkable if you really must.
