Not bad for a Busch beer; can detect cocoa, pleasant party beer. Better than Bud or Miller...

12 oz. bottle. Pours a muddy, opaque brown-gold brew (Lovibond 20). Slight head and lace. Aroma is of a porter or stout! Hints of chocolate and malt. Actually, exactly like Count Chocula cereal. Taste is well balanced between being a wheat beer and pushing the porter envelope - has a wheat beer mouthfeel and watery palate, while offering slight notes of chocolate, hops and spice. A little on the flat side, but by far their best wheat beer offering. optemoz (171) - Apex, North Carolina, USA - FEB 5, 2013
Bottle - Pour was a dark amber with almost no head. Aroma is a strong alcohol smell with lots of malt. Palate is pretty smooth. Malty with an alcohol on the back end. Not sure if I taste any chili or spices. Overall this might be the nicest Shock Top selection!

12oz bottle (courtesy of Headbanger) poured into a Lager glass at 36°. Color is a deep hazy amber with mellow carbonation and a small tight off white head. Aroma of toffee with a light spice. It has lighter medium body and a crisp mouth feel. Flavor is light with some roasted wheat and spice, then a hint of oak on the back. After is a mild bitterness. Overall its a nice easy drinking brew. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - JAN 31, 2013
How could I pass up a $2.99 sixer? Pours a dark brownish amber with a decent thick head and lacing, actually doesn’t look all that bad, aroma has a little bit of spice with a tad bit of chocolate, seems pretty artificial so far, the flavor is pretty weird, kind of fruity on the front end with a slight finish of chocolate and malt, won’t be picking this up again, will maybe if it gets down to .99$ a sixer.

Well brewed. A little bit dissapointing in wheat features but strong and refreshing with nice aromas also. adnielsen (10605) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JAN 30, 2013
Bottle @ home picked up in a mixer sixer at some dumpy liquor store in Fort Collins. Pours a murky orange appearance with a small, light brown head. Spicy chili, nutmeg, cinnamon, caramel, weird corny aroma. Not all that pleasant spicy chili, toasty malty, light chocolate flavor. Not very nice. UPDATED: FEB 1, 2013 Jan 27, 2013. Bottle pours clear light brown with red tones and 2 inch foamy beige head that dissipates quickly to a ring. There is a slight aroma of spice mixed with predominantly wheat smell. The elements of chocolate and spice come through more in flavour than aroma but still remains subtle. The palate is very light with a fizzy mouthfeel imparted by the chili and carbonation. The flavour is actually felt more than tasted with slight warming in aftertaste. Impressive twist on a simple wheat beer making it a good seasonal session. May have to drink a few in order to appreciate the subtle complexity. Ok I will, thanks. bigrond (1499) - factoryville, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 28, 2013
Ordered this because my first selection was unavailable. I’m am not a fan of this brewer and the beer did not disappoint....it was horrible. The palate from the first sip was putrid, though it seemed to diminish as time beer warmed. And it got warm, it sat for a while. I was sipping it very reluctantly. Thankfully, I summoned the courage to gulp the rest. I will never try another shock top robforbes (2237) - Bremerton, Washington, USA - JAN 27, 2013
